sphb: That's why this LS was designed originally for couples. You have to be strong in the person you are for all the reasons you stated so as not to feel being used or a piece of meat. That's why I am very, very selective and only go out when and with whom I want on my timetable. You have to retain your feeling of being empowered or you can get swallowed up. SM, I can see why most of them are single. Most are clueless and just want a NSA roll in the sack. Keep your head up girl!

" Being a unicorn is definitely fun and empowering, but when the party and the AFTER party are over, I go home alone. I think having a loving partner would make the lifestyle that much more enjoyable. " KinksterK

I have to agree with the Kinkster - it's great fun...til it's time to go home alone. I've found the opposite side of your issue. Most men I meet in the lifestyle are only looking for NSA, barely able to be FWB's never mind anything more than that. I've been stood up by more SM in this arena than I thought was statistically possible, lol. I have enough couples that I'm close friends with to make me confident that it's their loss. I don't think I could ever go back to a vanilla way of life but finding a LS partner who wants to do anything more than parties/events is a challenge.

Could it be your approach, i.e. selection of words? I am just saying.

After 30 years in the LS, this SM is looking for an attractive new partner that enjoys clubs (or not), social time (aka dates), movies, wine, and sucking every inch out of the LS as friends, companions and lovers. Why is this so difficult? I have a lot of energy and need someone who is up for some extended play. Metro DC area.

Here is a good place to start (although you might want to update your photos - you're smiling in only a couple of them, you don't look happy which might make other people not want to be unhappy with you). Remember, even if you're playing with a couple, that friendship might lead to others - they'll have friends including possibly single female swingers that they might introduce you to if they like you and think you'll be good for their friend. We know a couple of single swinger girls and am introducing a single swinger male we like to one because we think they'd be perfect together. :-D

I had a fun partner for ten years, met him at a meet and greet. We enjoyed vanilla as well as the lifestyle fun together.

I take a huge exception to statements like ALL of us are in the LS for a quick roll in the hay. I don't have to be in the LS for that. I can have that vanilla or otherwise. The sexual aspect of the LS is cool but I have numerous acquaintances, LS, that I don't have those encounters with. Either I've had it with them and choose not to have them anymore or vice versa. I am huge on socialization. If the sex happens it's cool; if not that's cool too. There are those on this site who take shit too personally....like they dangle themselves in front of you like carrots and if after a time you just tell em straight up...listen, I really don't have time for the back and forth, they block you as if you're life depended on them....please...grow the fuck up! My time is valuable and I am not here to fulfill some sick fantasy via countless e-mails going nowhere. Now to find the partner for an sls relationship. Don't be so overly anxious. If the LS is presented in a decent and not sleazy way, it may work. If not, move on.

"Why is this so difficult?"

Perhaps your couples profile is sending the wrong message?
