There are not any 'clubs' locally (the closest I can find is about 2 hours away) and I have been unable to find any groups that meet locally. Without knowing anyone in our local area would it be acceptable to post a party invitation on these forums? I guess it would be a M&G. I enjoy hosting and would be willing to take the responsibility for setting things up. I guess I'm asking, any advice on how to start a local group? NaughtyHands

User Details are only visible to members.	Even though we have a lot of meet-n-greets in our area, we've hosted one from time to time. Getting official site sponsorship that will allow you to post an "event" is not as straightforward as on other stes, and posting in the forums will be VERY ineffective. Your best bet is to do three things: (1) post a "hot date" in which you say you are hosting a meet-n-greet at some local restaurant/bar, (2) send out emails to just about everyone within range who would be even remotely interesting to you, and (3) put it in the title of your profile ("Meet-n-greet on x/x! Ask us about it!") Love how articulate you are in your profile - keep with it!
