I've been posting too much in the Political threads. I need to write about sex again. I was recently exchanging thoughts and anecdotes about ways to break the ice with another couple, and I thought I'd open up the topic for suggestions and advice and sharing of anecdotes. Do any of you have favorite ways to break the ice or transition to getting naked and slippery with another couple? Or do you have stories to share about smooth--or awkward--transitions? Anecdote #1: We once met in Santa Monica with a couple from Italy, and as we approached their hotel after a wonderful dinner, they told us about a favorite anecdote of theirs. When they were with a Japanese couple while in Japan, the Japanese couple asked them, at an appropriate time, if "they'd like to shower together"? The Italian couple was not sure if this was a euphemism or an actual invitation to take a shower together. They said yes. The four did not shower together. They just got naked.
