since the post says "entering the lifestyle," may I suggest putting "lifestyle" in perspective and do not make it your number one priority. Keep it a fun side "thing."
You'll invariably meet great friends. You'll also meet people you won't even want to see again. You'll get rejected, you'll laugh, you'll have fun, you'll learn that your conversation with each other deepens, your trust strengthens, and self-confidence increases, and not to take it all too seriously when things don't happen as expected.
