First of all, plan on having a good time together - excluding anyone else. The environment, tropical climate, sexy activities are reason enough to go to Hedo. If you are looking to play, the best way to find others of the same ilk is in the big hot tub after 10pm - not to suggest that you won't encounter lifestylers outside of the hot tub - just more likely. Not everyone in the hot tub is looking to play but the vast majority of folks looking to hook up will visit there to meet others.

Not sure how versed you are at nudist resorts but it's common courtesy to place a towel under you before sitting on a chair or lounge chair. Even if you don't care about the person who follows you, you don't want to sit in someone else's butt funk...that's just nasty, right?

Plan on many meals at the grill by the nude pool. Jerk chicken and fries becomes an instant favorite. The cheeseburgers, grilled cheese and fish are off the hook. Plus, you won't have far to travel before returning to the pool.

Make reservations at both Martino's (Italian) and HarrySan (Japanese). It's nice to sit and be served and the food is a notch above the buffet food. You will really enjoy yourselves.

At regular intervals, the entertainment coordinators will invite guests to ride the water slide nude. You have to try this! It's a blast and you fly with no swimsuit on.

Take the catamaran cruise. It's only $55 per person and you'll love the boat ride with never-ending rum punch and music by Rasta Ralphie. You can snorkel and swim the caves where they filmed part of 10,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

Bring sunscreen and hats. You'll need them eventually. Most importantly, don't set your expectations too high that you're going to have a lifestyle blowout while you're there. The composition of guests at the time of your visit will be very much like any other lifestyle event, in terms of attraction or not - except not everyone at Hedo is in the lifestyle. Just be open to have fun, visit the hot tub if you are looking to play and do what YOU want to do!

Another thing. Pack light. Once you've packed, cut that in half. You won't use half of even that. Enjoy! We just returned from a trip there, yesterday.

There is also the dennyp site that has many, many trip reports from visitors, (including us). Bring a sense of humor and adventure with you. Expect to find yourself being more social and less inhibited. If you need luxurious accommodations and food, there are many other resorts in the Caribbean that will charge triple the rate. But if you like to get get naked, have adult fun with no kids around, be a little naughty, then Hedonism is the place. Swingers are the minority there at most times of the year so be polite. We were there the last week of July a year ago. It could be sunny every morning but rain at some point every afternoon. It's the tropics. Bring a couple of small umbrellas with you to help keep the wife's hair dry while going to and from evening events when you might dress up. Where your room is at the resort is not as important as just being there. We give us room location to be able to stay an extra night or two. Bring school supplies and leave them at the front desk. Those could be solar calculators to deflated children's size soccer balls, crayons to back packs. You might want to wear something when not wearing anything. Sounds crazy? Think hats, sunglasses, necklaces, earrings, henna tattoos, ankle bracelets and ALWAYS sunscreen (trust me - you can get burned even when you think it's too cloudy to). Make or buy a couple of nice togas to wear. Talk to each other ahead of time about what each wants to get out of this vacation and talk about your limits. This isn't just about sex. Do you go play volleyball and leave her alone for a couple of hours? Does she expect to dance and you have two left feet? Can you each compromise just a little? Don't underestimate the power of standing on the edge of the beach under the brilliant stars at 11 at night and listening to the music from this and other resorts, feeling the warm air, passing lovers embracing while walking out, and re-energizing the bond the two of you share. Enjoy your visit. Once you go, you'll know.
