Hardest thing to do as a single, male or female, is know when you are welcome to join in. Asking is especially difficult because you have noone for moral support. Unless you were told beforehand that you are welcome to join in the fun when you feel comfortable, always used the words "May I join you?" That way there are no misunderstanding and everyone knows who has hold of what body part.

Usually the rules or culture are established prior to any insertions....lol. If the setting is orgy, you're likely to be looked askance at if you hang back. If it is couples pairing, 3-somes are not in everyone's repertoire. God knows its tough, but I would suggest a radical concept of open communications before the lghts go out or the clothes go off (or the camera lights go on depending on the occasion....lol).

Always ask first especially if in doubt! More than likely they will say OK but tapping on the shoulder or putting bodily objects in someones face is a bit rude! Just our .02 cents!
