My wife and I were searching this site a couple weeks ago and came across a profile with facial pics of friends of ours (not close friends, but friends because are kids play on the same sports team). We are torn as to whether we should send them an e-mail saying who we are. I don't know if we would ever connect and play with them, although it would be fun !! Thoughts?

User Details are only visible to members.	Well, it's a given that since they posted their profile they're either into or interested in the lifestyle. Therefore, they're very unlikely to 'out' you to anyone. If I were in your shoes, I'd email them through the site so they'd know where it originated and who it came from, and bid them a pleasant welcome...then drop it. If they have any interest in pursuing anything, they'll get back with you. If not, they won't. Problem solved. If they do want to see about taking the friendship further, and you're cool with that, then again there's no problem. If they don't, or you aren't, still no problem and you've still preserved the vanilla friendship. :-) IMHO, of course. JnD

User Details are only visible to members.	Fun, Be careful with that "have a few too many drinks" idea. You never know where it could lead. I'd recommend thinking it through before engaging in lifestyle discussions with the other couple. Nothing good ever comes from speaking after too many drinks!!! If you really want to play with them, I'd recommend the vanilla dinner idea. You can always move the conversation to relationships and alternative lifestyles. Once they find out you are interested and if they feel the same, the relationship could move from there. You could get much more than you bargained for with the "drinks at a party" plan! Phil

User Details are only visible to members.	Thanks for all the input !! Hunt - The messing with kids friends parents thing is what has us uncertain. Red - We would like to tell them because they are a fun, attractive couple, who we do really get along with. We think it would be a blast to party with them. Friendly - Maybe we'll use your dinner idea. cy - It would be nice to have an SLS buddy. This would connect us even further even if we do not get together sexually. (as long as we keep one another's secrets). I think if it was me, I wouldn't mind if someone we knew recognized us, whether it was on this site or at a club, and said hello. It would give us a very intimate thing in common. On the other hand, with our kids in school and town sports, I wouldn't want to to be blasted all over the place. I guess since they do have facial pics, they are very comfortable with the possibility of being recognized. Knowing us, we'll probably wimp out and not say anything until we wind up at a "vanilla" party with them, have to much to drink, and just open up. Thanks again for the thoughts.....

Just like a "hi, welcome to SLS-hope you have a blast, etc etc". Later on we met up and it was nice to have a SLS buddy to talk to for advice, etc. We both made it known upfront we didn't want to swing with them (just because it would be too weird) but if nothing else, connected us as friends again. If it was someone not as close as we were to this couple, I'd probably pass and keep quiet.

If you do, why not set up a dinner thing, just out of the blue ask about getting together for dinner, and sort of in passing bring up fantasies. You should be able to gage by their reaction whether they are apprehensive or not. Who knows you might end up being good friends.
