| We have been in the lifestyle for a little while and have a group of "friends" Unfortunately, we do not want to play with all our friends. Like hanging out and a little flirting, but there is pressure to play. Do we play or say no? |

I suspect that that's an issue that everyone in the LS faces sooner or later. If your friends interest in you is based on friendship, they'll understand. If their interest is based on sex, they'll move on. So long as it's handled in a 'friendly' manner, it's all good.

E322, don't take this the wrong way , please, but honestly, the fact that you are here asking this question shows you are not comfortable with the idea of playing with these people. You'll find plenty of support here, but you're already headed in the right direction.

We only consider the ones we play with friends all the rest are just acquaintances . It's that why for a for a few reasons, but mainly because we barely have the time to maintain a relationship with the people we play with let alone try and keep up a friendship with people in the lifestyle we don't play with.
But to answer you question Just tell them and leave the ball in their court. |

You should play only when you both want to play,
You mention there is pressure to play, who is pressuring you to play ? that couple or others in the group ? |

"We're all adults here. If their feelings are hurt and they "break up" with you you're better off in the long run."
Agreed! |

oh okay, understood! You just need to say in a politely tactful manner...no thank you. Its not easy, to say no to nice people. But you cannot fuck someone because they are nice, you fuck because you want to fuck them :0).

I do not play with some of my lifestyle friends, we just do not have the attraction on that level. I did have one couple I stopped seeing because it was always uncomfortable after I had already said I just dont feel we have the connection needed, and it was still sorta kinda an issue. I see them at events and we all have a drink and laugh still enjoy thier company and they have found other friends to enjoy more in depth benefits with.

We were unclear. We did not mean Vanilla friends. We meant lifestyle friends who want to have more benefits.
