Yes. In the case of an older couple, after their kids were well out of the nest...they participated for a few years until a health crisis led to their exit.

I am sure many couples have signed up for it with certain expectations that may never actually be met, those people will leave because they are disillusioned, didn't find what they were looking for or just grew bored with it, not necessarily because of some issue within their marriage.

However, there are married couples who join a swing site, with the mistaken idea that they can solve their relationship issues by introducing strangers into their sex life. IMO, those are the type of swingers that exit the "lifestyle" via divorce court.
