Question: I am attracted to profiles that are humorous and informative. But, do people really want to know our musical tastes, our hobbies, where we like to go for dinner, what we watch on TV? Is it helpful in deciding compatability or is it just wasting space?
I know that, for us, if it had not been for a fun, well-written profile that also talked a little bit about non-sexual interests, there would be a few couples that I would not have written to initially. There really was an attraction to what was WRITTEN in addition to public pics or a catchy tagline. I'd love your thoughts and experiences regarding this. Thanks! Gina |

Ok, so let me get this straight, you write an excellent profile and cant understand why anyone would want to know about your vanilla activities?
Is it possible so there is something to I dunno actually talk about when you arent "otherwise engaged" Or am I missing something? |

We like getting to know something about the person before meeting. It gives us a sense of personal connection to the people. If its that you have kids, like to cook, golf, or whatever. I like meeting people in chat so that we can develop some sort of personal connection.
I don't judge on musical tastes as I am very eclectic (as my player switches from Led Zepplin, to House, to Willie Nelson) and I find that no matter what you listen to I have some knowledge of your tastes and we can talk about it. Its one of my stronger ice breaker subjects. |

LOL I think issues especially musical are minimal. Jay likes techno/new age, his favorite being Nine Inch Nails. I think NIN is as close to organized noise as you can get lol. And mine depends on my mood, I'm pretty much depending on my mood. However, when I'm in my mood for Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy he is like kill me now please God. LOL.
