I live in a small, rural area. To make matters worse, its an area infested by fakes, flakes and phonies who are wannabe swingers. We all know the sort - they write you, they boast, they want to hook up so bad. And when you say "Okay" they dissapeare off the face of the planet! LOL... I have noticed a disturbing trend lately among the fake/flake crowd. Mind you, I know a lot of the 4 real swingers in this area and a lot of them know me. We share information about who pulled no shows, who dissapeared, who gave fake phone numbers ,etc... Many of the known fakes and phonies in my area are putting tag lines on their profiles saying, "Tired of all the BS" or "There is nobody for real on here" and so on. Acting as if they are 4 real and are tired of people like themselves... One of my swinging friends mentioned it and so I started contacting the ones who had single males friendly in their profiles I had not contacted before. She was RIGHT! Not a damn one even responded to an email . Some never even opened them! Some stopped coming on SLS! Mind you in the same time period I got a few 'thanks but no thanks' replies from some certed 4 real swingers and a couple of "when are we going out' replies from ladies I waited around on.... I told my friend about this and she told another male swinger she knows but I don't ... You guessed it. He started writing the ones with the 'disparaging' remarks about fakes in their profile tag line and NOT A ONE wrote him back, either. I talked to another friend of mine about this phenomenon and he said it is called "Transference" (He's a psychologist). He said basically these people hate somehting about themselves, so they are transferring what they hate off on others. In these cases they know they have no intention of hooking up with a stranger for sex...so they accuse others of being what they are! I sure hope this is not going on in your region too.

User Details are only visible to members.	Cup some people are under the impression that the lifestyle is a meat market. There seems to be a trend of entitlement in the lifestyle. If they do not get their fix the person is not real, or has some imagined issues to deal with the rejection.

User Details are only visible to members.	There are also some people that are impatient apparently. One example happened to us a few weeks ago. They contacted us wanting to meet that weekend. We told them we were available Saturday night or possibly Sunday afternoon. They told us they were not available until Sunday night at 8:00. We explained that was a no.......have not heard from them since. This exact scenario has happened more than a few times. Why do some people take not being able to meet right away means we never want to meet?

There are certainly the fakes, etc. But you have to notice too, that swinging has become more open, mainstream, in comedies on TV, etc etc., even the lingo is very mainstream. So, to some, swinging, or being attached to swingers a bit, is a trendy thing to do. They aren't so much serious about any real hook ups as they are about the social aspect, being on the fringes, and doing something, or saying they do something naughty. That part may go away at some point. Look at it as you would other social networking sites, like Facebook. How many, for those who have it (and yes, I'm addicted), really talk to all the many many friends on there? People "friend" dozens and hundreds of people they don't even know and never have met, and never really talk to, just to be part of something. You know this is true. There are those who join and play games only. There are those who join just to see what their friends and friends of friends post. There are those who joined to make a political comment. It's just like here. And then sometimes you connect, or have a conversation for a few days, and then poof, gone. So, it's not JUST in the swinging world, but in the social networking world, I believe. Good luck, friend. You may be right about it being more rampant in your region, but it's just a trend. And most trends come and go and you will be left with those of us who swing for real. And then we'll be TOO OLD...hahaha. Sorry. that was just an added stupidity on my part. Gina

We spend very little time chatting or emailing, and we never send or open our private pics to those without certs (nor do we ask for pics). We just set up a meeting as soon as possible. That takes care of most of the fakes, but a lot will agree to meet us and fail to show too (like over a hundred couples and over a dozen single guys have flaked on us). So, we never go out of our way to meet anyone, but rather invite people to a place that we know we'll already be and then greet them with a shocked look on our face! LOL! It's just part of the game. :(

And yeah I'll say it...most common amongst the "single" men. You talk, you are like okay, nice pics...nice personality from what I see, funny...you say okay! Sounds good, how about such and such. And they go POOF! Faster than my money after payday lol. The only thing I can think to do about it really is not spend too much time talking...talk a little and agree to meet. That way, if they go poof you did not waste as much time :0).
