I suspect that the shortage of seniors is perhaps related to a shift away from "sex first, perhaps friends later" towards "friends first, but sex is still on the table" as couples mature. The junior set just don't seem to have much interest in being friends too, while the senior set (I would guess) just get tired of the mind-games and settle on a few good friends to swing with, pretty much closing their circle. Comments...anyone?

User Details are only visible to members.	this is a pretty interesting thread...just from or own age split it is apparent age issues are a non factor to us...we actually like to play with 50+ couples now and then we prefer 30's and 40's but many of them are rather unsure of themselves...he sometimes talks about how he was bedding a 53 yr old lady when he was 27...but honestly (if you can believe this one) we haven't found any legit older cples in our area who haven't turned meeting into a big deal. regardless of age it is also very importent us that any cple be in reasonable shape...that is also something that seems to be an issue with a fair share of "older cples"

User Details are only visible to members.	We got tired of the younger sets games when we were advised that we were no longer welcome at a local club because we were 'too old'. We and several other couples started our own "Over 50" group, nobody under 50 allowed except as guests of regular members. I think that the group membership is somewhere around sixty couples and growing. Our parties are as much social as anything else, with none of that "let's get naked and screw!" s**t. I suspect you're right when you say that tastes change with age/maturity and that the things that are turn-on's for a couple in their 30's can be a major turn-off for the same couple in their 50's and 60's. That sure seems to be the case with our Over-50 group!

User Details are only visible to members.	Right on, Robnpartner -- Our take on most house parties is the same as yours -- "strip and screw" exercises, we call them. Been there, done that, don't care to do it again. One party we went to didn't even have any background music! Nothing in the environment to enhance the experience. Some clubs not much better. We went to one in a city we won't name, and saw the biggest collection of .....well, never mind. We are seniors, to say the least, but everything still works -- and we aren't going to waste our time in a smoking, drinking, fucking venue devoid of any real eroticism. C'mon back to Charlotte!

I see that this thread has been ongoing for about a year and 7 or 8 months, so I'm gonna throw our 2 cents in (and yes, sometimes my better half does let me speak for her). We recently re-located from the E. coast to Colorado. We have both (individually) been in the lifestyle for a long time. You can also see from our profile that we are rapidly moving toward "senior status" (me much more than her). We have no "connections" here in the "high plains"; and the one "club" I made several attempts to contact didn't have the courtesy to get back in touch even if only to say "sorry, you're too old". In terms of the lifestyle itself, we are both as much into the social aspects as the sexual aspects. We have always tended toward group parties and hotel takeovers (look up "Carolina Friends" in Charlotte NC, we're long time members there) and have stayed completely away from "house parties" of 4 - 6 couples. Maybe it's just us; but the house parties seemed to be just a "hi my name's Rob, nice tits, let's f*ck" environment. My wife is bi; but she gets to choose who she wants to become intimate with, men and women; and for us, those choices really can't be made after nothing more than a brief hello. We've also noticed that lifestylers at or near our age seem to be looking for at least some of the same things that we are. Like minded people that are fun to be around in places other than someone's bedroom. The problem then comes in that too many lifestylers our ages and younger just want to "hit the sheets" and then go look to hit them again with someone else. And at that point it simply becomes a turn-off and we move away from the lifestyle. So maybe this was the wrong forum to voice our personal preferences; but the fact remains, "older" lifestylers may still be around; but their wants and needs have changed over the course of time. We're hoping that some of them are here in northern Colorado.
