We swing because we like the added possibility of sex, not because we expect it. That possibility remains no matter what our age. Over time we've changed how we approached the LS, how we interacted with others, and what sorts of activities we participated in. When we're no longer enjoying ourselves, we'll re-evaluate. Hope that answers your question. :-)

All right. The bottom line is this. Your body and mind will let you know. Maybe the sex part will take longer to happen. There are other things that will work " right on the spot ". Your mind, friendship and personality. Drop out if you want to. To me the friends that I make mean as much as sex.

discreetus -- beautiful post (and nice profile, too) -- That is close to what we are looking for. Yeah, a lot of folks post the "when I die," or "get cremated" kind of response, but we seniors have to be realistic. Like it or not, someday we are going to wind down. Our original query has not been addressed. As for us, we aren't the rabbits we were in our 30s. Much more foreplay and no long, prolonged banging. A particularly appealing (and mature) lady asked me a few weeks ago, how much "advance notice" I would need before we could play...."15 minutes be ok?" she said. I quickly calculated my viagra response and said a little sheepishly, "could we make it an hour?" Truth be told, in my younger days, about 30 seconds would have sufficed for this gal. These are the kind of responses I'm looking for. C'mon folks.

85 ? True.

For a good meeting place for 85 yr old ? you could always go to JFK, I heard they give good strip searches, at least that will start the foreplay :)

We are a llifestyle couple in Kentucky. middle-aged, HWP, with very strong sex drives that we intend to keep and use for a very long time. But we seldom play with others who are younger than our grown kids-- simply because that's my wife's preference and she preferers couples closer to our own age. And considering the fact that most younger couples seem to believe they invented sharing fun and sexual pleasure with good friends, they tend to focus their efforts on finding Ken & Barbie, anyway. So that leaves us old farts to enjoy what we lhave earned through experience-- that the best sharing of fun and sexual pleasure come from attitude, personality and a genuine love and appreciation for friendships that might include sex, but is not the entire reason for a relationship to exist. Afterall, even the young lifestylers can't truly enjoy- or are capable of- having great and pleasurable sex 24/7. eight days/week! And none of them or us-- while sharing sex with friends-- tends to focus on how fortunate we are to be engaed with such a georgeous hunk of humanity on top us us or underneath, or whatever, since we are far more intent on the pleasure and satisfaction we expect to give and want. But it does take a little maturity to realize that the sex drive doesn't suddenly disappear after the dreaded age of 40 or 45. and becomes even more satisfying and fun with freinds who enjoy it mutually and not simply for selfish gratification. Mature lifestylers are absolute the best, since they have learned the importance of a real friendship-- and that sharing sensual pleasure shoulld always be a definite plus and not a minus. And that is usually achieved only with friends we feel closest to for more than just the sex.
