While sex is still great, and a valuable part of our lives with each other and our friends, we were talking last night about when will it end or can we anticipate it will not when powered by Viagra. What are your thoughts?

User Details are only visible to members.	We know a lot of people are not into having FWB, but we are. We have developed some very close friendships outside of the bedroom. These people travel with us, etc. There are times that we are all too dam tired from the day's activities to play!! So, we enjoy each other's company over glass(es) of wine and watch a funny movie, etc. We are hoping that thru the coming years, our friends will stay with us and play with us! Friendships are really important, especially as you age. Either vanilla or LS. Friends keep you active and young!

I can't imagine that being naked together won't still be fun when you're so old the pill doesn't work. Jim

User Details are only visible to members.	This is an incredibly important topic for senior swingers. We posted essentially the same question sometime back. All of the issues Jim mention are right on -- advancing age, medical issues, loss of interest, etc., but we'd be interested in hearing what aging swingers have to say who, though perhaps not up to operating on all cylinders these days, would still like to participate in the LS at some level. What would that be? Soft swing? Cuddling? Dancing and flirting? We are still able to get it on with the help of a little pill and a little inspiration, but at some point we may realize that interacting with our friends isn't going to be the rock 'n roll it once was. What then, assuming we still all enjoy each other's company?

User Details are only visible to members.	So the strategies around keeping it going--- 1. Stay healthy. That's not meant to be trite. Seeing your physician, taking the meds, controlling weight, getting exercise...all of that matters. 2. Stay active. There are 10,000 people in the USA turning 65 every day. Somewhere between 100-400 of them have been swingers at some time in their lives. Up to 100 swinging couples a day make it to Medicare age. That's 36,500 couples each year. Even if the estimate is too high by a factor of 3, that's 12,000 couples each year. Some have to live close by. And they have time on their hands. Set up dates. Go on them. 3. Stay attractive. Update the wardrobe. Learn a new social skill, dancing, public speaking, whatever. 4. Send signals. Let folks know that you find them attractive. What's to lose?

User Details are only visible to members.	I think it ends gradually as your playmates grow older, retire and move away, or develop health issues and drop out. In your sixties, it's not easy to find replacement playmates. Those luscious 30-somethings aren't beating our doors down (sigh.) Or maybe it ends when you get to be 80 years old. As a friend of mine once told me, "Jim, let me tell you what it's like to be 80. Everything that's supposed to be flexible is stiff, and everything that's supposed to stiff is flexible." :-) That is likely the inevitable end for all us guys :-( Jim

I'm 66 and my sweet young bride (of many years) is 53, guess that makes me a cradle robber) and we still have sex with each other 5 or 6 times a week plus our fun times with our lifestyle friends. We hope to keep going like this for a long, long time. We think if you think sexy you'll stay sexy.

User Details are only visible to members.	@sed, thanks and we will have a look... @hotirish,couple who end their sex lives at 50-60 for non-medical reasons might not remain couples. That signals an end to intimacy on a lot of levels. Kids are grown and gone, and one of the two probably still wants intimacy...

User Details are only visible to members.	From a physician... Several of my patients were sexually active well into their 80's. They had several features in common. 1. They took care of their bodies. Normal weight, exercise, reasonable diet, grooming, etc. 2. Long-term marrieds. 3. Sexually active and did not stop. Made sure there were no dry spells. (It is a use it or lose it situation) 4. Expectations and attitudes that life would throw them curve balls, and they would keep swinging. Arthritis? Yes. Cardiac surgery. Happens. A little blindness/deafness? Yep. Now, would you please refill my husband's Viagra prescription?
