It's still just gonorrhea, Sed, but it has adapted to become resistant to treatment. According to the CDC, "In 2011, 30.4% of isolates collected in GISP were resistant to penicillin, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, or a combination of these antimicrobials." (GISP=Gonococcal Isolate Surveillance Project)

first, let me start with : DAMN! goodenuff, that's a HOTTTTTTT picture!
Now for the clinical stuff. There IS an antibiotic resistant strain of gonorrhea that is starting to spead. What is happening is that only one partner is getting treated and going back to their untreated cesspool...I mean "sweetheart" and getting themselves reinfected and the bacteria is becoming increasingly more resistant to the current DOC's {drug of choice} for treatment. I see it on hte clinical floor from time to time. |

I think they are referring to gonorrhealectum. There is a cure that is expected to be available in November 2012. It's called Vote-emout.
