The CDC stats are that about 58% of adults test positive for HSV-1, about 20% test positive for HSV-2, with some testiing positive for both. It's reasonable to assume that swingers are at least as likely and perhaps more likely than the average adult to be infected.
HPV is not as well documented, but most adults, meaning more than 50%, are generally considered to be infected. That means herpes and HPV infection are normal in the adult population, not the exception. It's probably been that way for centuries. |
