User Details are only visible to members.	Nope, I don't think my doctor needs to know. If I want to be tested for anything I just tell her I want a particular test done. But then I am very atypical. I am very aware of body than most and that could be b/c I was raised in a medical family. I tend to do alot of research before taking any meds or follow treatment. Most of the time I do my own thing. This drives my doc crazy. Anyway, I digress. I think everyone needs to do what is comfortable for them.

Easier said than done lmao....but having worked in the health field for so long your Dr. cannot effectively treat you unless you are completely 100% honest with he or she. How can they, they cannot read your mind. So YES, I am going to tell her about the lifestyle. Hell I may as well, all of my other friends know lmao. I'm like a soap opera, I have 10 vanillas living vicariously through me ha.

User Details are only visible to members.	I told my doctor i need viagra for sex parties. he didn't bat and eye and just gave me the script. They aren't goign to tell anyone.... they'll lose their medical lic. Not to mention the lawsuit.

We can not treat you Appropriately without knowing you are not in the vanilla dynamic. To keep your provider in the dark is to not allow them to develop the level of suspicion needed to diagnose a variety of conditions. My GYN used to be a swinger in college. She and I have a great relationship. I go to see her. She suggests testing every time. I explain I'm a clean machine and she still tests anyway. These tests come back negative..but it doesn't stop her from doing them. She is well aware I'm bisexual. I have been to medical professionals who didn't like/understand/viewed my lifestyle as a problem. I got rid of them. It's not up to them to judge my situation. It's their job to treat me. Just as an aside. Any vaginal itching requires a look-see by a medical professional. Do not assume it's a yeast infection unless you just took antibiotics. Mischief

User Details are only visible to members.	I am going to the GYN this week and was thinking the same thing. My GYN does not know any members of my family so I am not too worried about that. BUT my concern (as silly as it sounds) was what their reaction will be when I tell them (about being active in the lifestyle). I see it this way: who cares! I don't owe them any explanation............LOL!

User Details are only visible to members.	Best bet is to tell your doc about being in the lifestyle. They can't do their best for you if you aren't forthcoming. If you feel you can't be completely honest with your doc, you need a new doc!

User Details are only visible to members.	my friend just had a hysterectomy along with some other maintenance work done she was curious about anal sex and DVP. She feels a need to ask her gynecologist about it but does not know how to broach the subject without mentioning her involvement in swinging. Do you tell your doctors everything so they can treat you more effectively?
