Mr.DE and I have not needed condoms between us for years. So, now we need to determine some favorites as we start to play with others. While I appreciate that there are always individual preferences, does anyone have some recommendations or favorite condoms for play? I'm open to recommendations for latex, non-latex, male condoms, female condoms, and dental dams.
A quick "Why I like this best" might help us better determine whether we should try a particular recommendation. Thanks in advance for your help! Mrs.DE |

She's right, poly does not protect as well as latex.
And lambskins are not very effective at all.... Either Lifestyles Ultra thin or Magnum thin. |

It used to be that the wall thickness of male condoms seriously diminished the sensation that the man received while having sex. That is no longer the case. There are lots of good recommendations already given in this forum on this topic. I prefer Lifestyle Skyn because it is a non latex condom. Latex is fine until the woman you are ready to have sex with tells you she is allergic or other reactions to latex. So to avoid any interruptions, I just go with Lifestyle Skyn.

I like Durex High Sensation and Durex Bare. Both are my favorites.

Plentyoflovin:
"Polyurethane condoms have gained FDA approval for sale in the United States as an effective method of contraception and HIV prevention, and under laboratory conditions have been shown to be just as effective as latex for these purposes." see Wikipedia and the included references Just sayin... |

Thanks for the additional recommendations of the sampler pack and the Durex Bare and Lifestyles Skyn condoms! We'll check out those options.

I really prefer Durex Bare and Lifestyles Skyn (these come in large too).
They are non-latex and are the closest feeling to bareback that I've come across. I've introduced a few men to them and they have expressed how pleased they were with the feel as well. |

Why don;t you go any of the online condom sites and purchase a sampler pack so you can try the different brands and styles. We did that when we first got started until he realized that all of them were way to tight until he tried Trojan Magnums.

The male half here but I can speak for both of us. We prefer Trojan Supra. They are non latex polyurethane condoms. To me they transmit heat better than latex and feel thinner. I am average in both length and girth. I'd estimate that they would be fine for up to 7.5 inches in length however those above average in girth will have issues as they don't stretch at all. Also we've never heard of anyone having a reaction to polyurethane (some have issues with the lube though).

Just a little FYI on lubricants
If you use a separate lubricant, be sure to use one that's water-based and made for this purpose. Read the label carefully before applying .If you're not sure which to choose, ask your pharmacist. Never use a lubricant that contains oils, fats, or greases such as petroleum-based jelly (like Vaseline brand), baby oil or lotion, hand or body lotions, cooking shortenings, or oily cosmetics like cold cream. They can seriously weaken latex, causing a condom to tear easily. Mrs Sav |
