Obama says that not wanting to pay more taxes is selfish. So, how much are each of you democrats willing to reduce your standard of living to allow obama to create his utopia? You willing to give up a vacation, drive a car 2 years longer, eat out less, give up that boat you do not really need? So come on, be specific, no obamaspeak. Say what you want to give up!!!

Dems Already Announce Plans to Silence Conservatives (Video)

It's all part of the Hope and Change... After the election Democrats plan to continue their attacks on conservative Americans. The votes haven't even been counted yet and they're already calling for the return of the Fairness Doctrine.

That was nice- Schumer just compared conservative talk to pornography. Senator Charles Schumer announced today that there will be a return of the Fairness Doctrine:

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday defended the so-called Fairness Doctrine in an interview on Fox News, saying, “I think we should all be fair and balanced, don’t you?”

Schumer’s comments echo other Democrats’ views on reviving the Fairness Doctrine, which would require radio stations to balance conservative hosts with liberal ones. Of course... This only applies to conservative news organizations. As far as CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, NYT, LAT, WaPo, etc... They will not be touched. Say hello to your new overlords.

If only they hated Al-Qaeda as much as their fellow conservative Americans- We wouldn't have to worry about being attacked again. Hat Tip Juandos

"Island, Read the entire thread. Simm was posting about the ways a person with 250k income could reduce their taxable income. I was pointing out just a few of the thousands who were w2 income people. I have been in that position. I someone lives in San Francisco or NYC, 250K is not much money. "

You are preaching to the choir on this one. *Simba who lives in Los Angeles and lives in a bungalow of 1200sf with just one bathroom built in the 1930s with no central heat and no air conditioning ...paying $3,000 a month mortgage on it.* YET... doesn't make over $250K and owns 3 other homes (and their mortgage payments) and able to dodge taxes legally. I have no compassion for someone in San Fran making $250K and can't seem to find any tax deductions....give me a friggin break.

Barack Obama: This Isn't the Illegal Alien Auntie I Thought I Knew

Obama's dear Auntie Onyango is an illegal alien. And, once again, Barack Obama was shocked to hear the news.

Obama just responded to the news that his Dear Auntie Onyango is an illegal alien. The AP reported:

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama said Saturday he didn't know his aunt was living in the United States illegally and believes that laws covering the situation should be followed.

The Associated Press found that Obama's aunt had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya. The woman, Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUHN on-YANG-oh), is living in public housing in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama's late father.

A statement given to the AP by Obama's campaign said, "Senator Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed." UPDATE: Auntie Onyango was silenced by the Obama Campaign until after the election. This is what Auntie Onyango told the Times Online who broke the story that she was living in a Boston slum:

She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.” That's interesting. Auntie Onyango was told not to speak until after the election. Who might have told her that?

M, you are so right. I have friends in NYC who paid 1.2 million for a home with less than 900 sq feet. Surgeon who works for HMO in San Fran required a room mate to be able to have his condo and make car payments on a 300 series BMW. And according to the left, these people are rich.

fun "2 wage earner families that are W2 employees that make over 250k. These people do not have any way to dodge the tax increase..... These people are 100% screwed."

I just love that one. They only make a quarter million a year --- they're really screwed. What planet are you from?????

Down here on earth $250k per annum gets you buy pretty well. Its a not like minimum wage.

Simm, there are tens of thousands of 2 wage earner families that are W2 employees that make over 250k. These people do not have any way to dodge the tax increase. These are people in the sales, engineering, medical, nursing, middle management, and college educators. These people are 100% screwed.

"Good, if you like giving so much, go do it on the street. "

I do it all the time. I just don't go around patting myself on the back about it.

here's the difference dj, i didn't go directly to cynical pragmatism. I decided to give long ago.

and stop calling handouts refunds! call them what they are handouts. "

it simply amazes me that giving money to the poor in the US is compared to communism, when we give away enough money to choke a horse in Iraq to villagers, so they won't shoot each other. maybe they should do that here. Won't be so many drive by's.
