People say I'm whatever political party it is that I fit in. I can't tell you which because I don't know what the heck they mean. Can anyone clarify republican, democrat, left and right to me please? I know my left from my right, but apparently not politically.

It's a well documented fact by the rightwingers that there's nothing wrong with the healthcare situation in this country and that Michael Moore is criminally insane. You've insulted the wingers by trying to appeal to logic and using their own ideas of free enterprise and competition to lower the price of prescription meds, thereby ripping off corporations and cutting into their profits. Oh, and trying to save the taxpayers money. Cutting into corporate profits and trying to save the taxpayer's money are extreme leftwing tenets. I think it's clear you must be one of those marxist bastards that want to roast babies over a spit. :0

User Details are only visible to members.	I'm not really seeing where "wham" I went left. I posted my specific experience. It is widely reported that the prescription drug plan as passed does not allow bargaining with drug companies for lower prices, like the VA does, for example. If they were allowed to do so, it would save the taxpayers money. The rest of my post was my specific experience with a person who takes medication to stay alive and is forced to go to another country to get the medication at a reasonable cost. Nothing political about it.

I've read the Communist Manifesto and the Capitalist Manifesto. So here's my two cents: (It may not be worth much, but it does have value.) Democrats (in general) - believe that government should control the economic structure of the country (socialism). On the fringes they are comprised of a multitude of different groups (gay & lesbian, labor, environmentalist, universal health care advocates...the list is quite long). Some would say that it's the government that makes this country great. Republicans (in general) - believe that government role is limited and should allow free enterprise to dictate the economy (capitalism). On the fringes, they are comprised of business owners and religious groups. Some would say that it's the individual that makes this country great. Both have opposing groups intertwined, but the parties are influenced by the fringes. And, as most would agree, the party elected officials don't always adhere to their policies nor practice what they preach.

User Details are only visible to members.	The prescription drug plan passed by Bush and Congress is basically a boondoggle for the pharmaceutical industry. The Medicare program is prohibited from negotiating lower prices with big pharma. Meanwhile, after $2,500 bucks, seniors get to pay full price for the prescriptions they need. So, my wife's grandfather goes across the border to get the drugs he needs at one third the price in this country.

Any where that we are not ingaged get out...Now and cut 6Billion out of the UN...And Use every resource to get UBL clean house and finish Iraq.
