With regards to recent events, such as the Webster Ny incident, the woman who purchased the weapon used by that Felon , did so in an admitted straw purchase. She was charged with filing a false instrument by NYS, and for making a straw purchase, Yet no mention of charging her as a accessory to the crime for facilitating this shooter with the weapon that was ultimately used to kill at the least 2 firemen. We need no more laws, we need more aggressive prosecution, But ina business as usual way they will let the purchaser slide on the murder charges .

But it wouldn't have stopped sandyhook on the fact that the shooter didn't own the weapons, his mother did and he lived with her. Even if he didnt live with her, how many parents would rather see their child kill themselves? I would imagine the number to be fairly small. As such, Adam (I think his name is) could hold a knife to his throat and force his mother to open the gun vault, kill her as he did and take the weapons. A national mental data base or even a national mental health program won't stop this... And to arm every school like a prison is just lunacy as you teach the kids to fear and to see all people as a threat. The reality is that sick people will do the most unthinkable of things, that is life. We the John doe citizen isn't being paid a wage which allow us to pay around 2 million a year more in taxes to put 9 armed security guards in every school across the country. So we must look to society and study why our society is cracking, see what pressures have placed too much weight onto society and release the pressures. The conservative ideals of shut up and work harder, execute the weak, leave the weak to die result in more weak people acting out before they kill themselves as we have been seeing in the last two decades. It is beyond time to stop that insanity and start being human again... Start relearning what it means to be one nation and one people who have loyalty to each other rather than abuse and exploit eachother.
