TOPIC: What Really Happened in Ct Why was the world misinformerd

Ok, when the news first broke, we were told that an AR type rifle was not used in the school shooting in CT, but was in fact in the guy's car. Within a short time thereafter, the story changed to that the killer used the AR-15 type gun to shoot all his victims. The CT state medical examiner or coroner; whatever he was, was on live TV and was asked by a reporter based on autopsy results what gun or guns the people were shot with. His answer was, "The long gun." This part I saw and heard but did not write down. But, I do remember how and what he said, because his answer and delivery had the hesitation of somebody who was trying to lie. So now it also comes out that the killer tried to buy a gun a couple of days before hand and was turned down. (If you don't know, CT has very tough gun laws and there are also the federal laws.) So this big push to ban large capacity AR magazines and maybe even AR type rifles is from a 'misinformed' mistake, or worse; an intentional misreporting to suit somebody's agenda. Does this rub any of the rest of you the wrong way?

Bill Stevens, a father of a Sandy Hook student who survived the massacre that took place in December, testified. Stevens explained why his daughter is safer at home than she is at school because "911" and "lockdown" are not enough to protect her from an evil person. Stevens also defended the right to bear arms which is not only written in the Second Amendment, but in the Connecticut constitution as well. He argued gun owners shouldn't be turned into suspects no matter how many firearms or rounds of ammunition they may choose to have and that politicians have no right to take away one's ability to defend themselves and their family. "You want to take my rights are away, lets go to court," Steven's said. "But criminals and tyrants, tyrants especially, beware. Lockdown is not an option at the Stevens residence and 911 will be dialed after the security of my home has been established

Jimmy Carter went around the world, visiting historic allies and admonishing them to have more humanitarian policies, both with their neighbors and with their own people. At home, people immediately hated him as a traitor. None more so than "fundamentalist christians". He made one exception -- the dread Shah of Iran -- whom he called America's "special friend". Of course, this would be his undoing. The Shah wasn't anyone's friend, but he was an enemy of our enemy, the Soviet Union. That's the common denominator in all these alliances with dictators.

Sadly the US has had a long history of allying with brutal dictators. We don't care how or who is harmed in the how... We simply want what we want. This is the short sightedness that has lead the US as a whole to attack anyone we don't like. This is chief amongst the republicans for many reasons, namely their more conservative ideals of control... To obtain more control. Such ideals of obtaining more control are related to and stem from Greed. Greed desires such levels if control and spires itself to obtain it. Greed tells the lesser to die if you can be greedy enough. Greed tells the sick who can't afford medical to die if they can't afford medical. Greed thinks a patch such as a donation that they write off is enough to be given a pass and seen as a good person. Greed doesn't want to accept that it has social responsibilities to its people, to provide upward mobility, to provide medical, to provide a meaningful (this fair) wage. Greed simply is the baby crying for more and if it doesn't shut up and accept that it must start producing meaningful jobs NOW, providing medical and education with upward mobility NOW... This nation will slip irreversibly into socialism and communism. Maybe that is what they want? If actions speak louder then words, than their actions scream for socialism and communism to overtake the US.

Guys...when I make a Statement..I can ALWAYS back it up......Vietnam discovered what Pol Pot was doing to his own country and invaded and drove the Khmer Rouge from power. Reagan however took a preference for psychopathic genocidal communism and worked with China and the Association of South East Asian Nations to reinstate the Khmer Rouge to power in 1982. Admittedly the Carter administration also had some dealings with the Khmer Rouge but not on the same scale as the administration that would follow. But supporting brutal military dictators in killing those striving for democracy seemed to be an integral part of the Reagan foreign policy. Other friends of the Reagan administration included Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines - right up to the point where he lost power and Reagan helped him escape to Hawaii - along with billions of dollars stolen from the once promising but thanks to Marcos impoverished nation. It was only after Reagan had ensured the continued lease of Clark Airforce base and Subic Bay naval base with the democratically elected President Cory Aquino that Reagan acknowledged not only election results but also the massive bloodless popular uprising when Marcos declared himself the winner. Augusto Pinochet in Chile - well known for torturing his own people - perhaps Cheney's role in the Reagan administration gave him some ideas for the US torturing people later on. Suharto of Indonesia, whose illegal invasion of East Timor (at the time sanctioned by President Ford) led to the deaths of more than a quarter of East Timor's population. Similar acts of genocidal invasion in Irian Jaya didn't phase reagan from palling up with this guy - nor did his desire to steal his nation's wealth - embezzling as much as $35 billion during his rule - bear in mind the GDP today of Indonesia is only just over 10 times that. Duarte of El Salvador, Saddam Hussein in Iraq, the Contras in Nicuragua, and countless more also enjoyed Reagan's support (including of course our old friend Osama Bin Laden
