If war is politics by other means, than politics is war by other means. How you ever played chess? Ever have your ass handed to you by someone repeatedly? Well guess why that was? You likely weren't thinking two plus moves ahead. Those who want gun control and read into the polling sense the theater shooting need to stop and think about two facts. Say you are right and you end some of these shootings. Now it is 2016 and the new democrat nominee is fighting to become president. Guess what all of those people you took the assault weapons remember? It isn't the shootings you prevented, it's their symbol of freedom you denied them. So when you demand gun control. Ask yourself. Are you willing to trade all that has been done in the last four years, for a bill that likely won't pass and if it does pass will have a termination period? If it doesn't, the next government can undo it by power of owning all three areas of elected government. Both houses of congress and the presidency. Play chess, not poker. Republicans are better at poker than we are.
