i saw that as well. supposedly the "gut feeling" stems from a pattern of terror activities related to the summer, etc. seems strange to me but what seems stranger is that nobody from the administration will say they have a "gut feeling" that the war i iraq isn't going so well.

have u heard the new white house 'talkin point'? the "surge" is just now operational. give it some more time they say. im DZZY from the spin!

A Covert war is out of the question. We could destroy Irans Military with air power all by its self no invading troops needed. I is amazing what a well placed bomb will do for morale of an enemy. After the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, Kadafi changed his tune real quick. But backing Iran into a corner has scared them and no they rattle swords made of plastic and not steele. Our air power could destroy any hopes of an attack in Iraq and make sure they understand the real meaning of war. Lets show them the difference between Iraqs Saddam and the USS Ronald Reagan...

The White House wants to appoint a high-profile overseer to manage the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but has had trouble finding someone to take the job, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

At least three retired four-star generals approached by the White House in recent weeks have turned down the position, the report said.

The war "czar" would report directly to President George W. Bush and national security adviser Stephen Hadley and would have authority to issue directions to the Pentagon and the State Department, the newspaper said.
