In Florida, voter registration has declined significantly in the past year as a result of a state law imposing fines of up to $1,000 for failing to report the names of newly registered voters within 48 hours of collection, even on a holiday weekend when local election boards are closed. A federal judge has recently said he plans to block the harsh penalties from taking effect. In addition, in a flashback to 2000 when more than a thousand eligible voters in Florida were wrongly purged from the voter rolls before the election, this year's purge lists were so inaccurate that some local election officials simply refused to enforce them. As former Senator Bob Graham (D-FL) recently wrote, the haunting specter of that election is still with us. Simple fact, You republicans over reacted to the illegals, whom many of your fellow republicans encouraged them to come and work for them in the first place. the sooner we can accept them and get them into our system of government, the sooner we can get them paying the full taxes you republicans cry about them not paying. Look at the problem through conservative eyes. You have a problem that isn't going away, you make it work for you rather than against you. You will save more money, time and effort than to try and fight the title wave.

Groups like True the Vote and others have announced plans to place 1 million poll watchers around the country to challenge voters' qualifications. These kinds of challenges could create long lines, intimidate voters and suppress turnout. Florida's voter suppression advocate, the Republican Party, has already been exposed as the anti-American operation, which dishonors all veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq who invaded and occupied those countries for the cause of creating Republics with democratic forms of election.

I love how the right bitches that Obama is a dictator or is abusing his powers, yet the right expects him to have the magical powers to force congress to accomplish things. Which does the right want? Democracy/Republic or a dictatorship? You can't put 100% of the blame on one man, unless we are to have a single man with 100% of the power.

I suppose that the fact that GWB left BHO with a giant ball of shit, steam rolling down hill is not relative to the above? Having said that, let us say Romney wins. How soon can we expect all of the above to be solved? How much time will it take to do this? More importantly when can I start bitching if things don't get better or actually get worse. Six months, a year, two years? And if they don't when will you start using the excuse it's all BHO'S fault.

Because we do not have capitalism, we have a capital-socialist system. Every socialist program we have is meant to keep businesses open, not improve the lives of the people. So long as our system remains one based off of keeping Walmart open and not improving the lives of John q public, socialism will fail. Why might you ask? Because socialism is being used to prop up a capitalist system. Capitalism is the system by which only the strong survive... Which means that the weak must die.... The problem with this system is two fold. 1) John q public will not sit by while they average two depressions in their life times and multiple recessions. This is why there are no more true capitalist systems except in the middle east where everything is for sale... Even human life. 2) you get massive debt for propping up bad companies. This will destroy any system, to include socialism and communism. Now let's talk change to systems. You cry about the evils of socialism and communism, yet forget that the same was said about capitalism... A system tried many times before it finally took off and worked. It worked for one reason and one reason only... Slavery. Capitalism in its infancy required cheap labor so other people can get things done. Sense the banning of slavery, we have seen capitalism sliding down the path to self destruction. Why? Because their isn't any cheap labor. Robber Barron's tried to reenslave the general public, they even had help from the government to force minera and ither workers back to work during times of peace and war. But in the end, the job of the government to protect the people won out and these days are long gone... But not because business adapted, it is because business almost started a second civil war and a socialist uprising here in the US. Before the advent of air power, it would have been possible for a popular uprising to win. At this turning point in our history, air power didn't exist. The mine workers and others banded together and marched towards DC with weapons in hand. Not to overthrow the government, but to protect themselves from the mine owners who would try to stop them... And did stop them. Fire fights broke out during this march and early aircraft were used against the mine workers. These primitive aircraft dropped something akin to Molotov cocktails. By the time everything was said and done, the government had no choice but to step in. This was the death blow to total capitalism and the start of government turning against businesses. Now to address your rants on communism. The USSR had three major and fatal flaws caused by Stalin... 1) Stalin should have given back those lands he conquered... Trying to occupy and maintain control over them in the manner that the USSR did... Cost them excess than what good trade partners would have made them. 2) trying to rape and pillage the land as he did, without improving the land, cost the USSR even more as all infulatructure had to come from Russia's factories... This was a great wast of time, money and man power. 3) Stalin trained his replacements to know only one thing, rule with an iron fist. As for Cuba, we will never know how that could have turned out, we blockaded it and generally beat the fuck out of it economically... Simply because it turned its back on us and went communist. As for china, they change their systems like we do our underware. Sense WWII they haven't had a constant system for more than a generation. Sure they are more capitalist today, than twenty years ago... But that is only because they want to do business with us. Go into china and ask their john doe citizen what system they have? Ask them if they can simply start up a business? China doesn't have capitalisim, that is for sure.

Guess he is promoting how well communism worked in USSR, oops guess it is not them he is talking about. Could it be China, wait, BobbyEconomics didn't work there either. Last time I checked, Cuba is still using Bobby's preferred system, and it ain't working there either. What Bobby is seeking is a society where he will be paid $300k/year for contributing minimal if anything to the system, because "he is owed it" due to his piss freezing before hitting the ground during mid August nights. The food harvests are ripe and ready to be picked. The grape framers in this area are besides themselves. The harvest should be getting started. But the workers are not there? Washington State apple farmers came into the area and offered higher wages to anyone willing to work picking apples. In the mean time there are thousand of people sitting at home well fed, watching TV and other wise goofing off all day long. All paid for by people like you.
