The socialists problem is no one takes them seriously including the communists and the blog machine that controls them.

This Congress is still able to vote along party lines

Then why dont they? They have done nothing they promised. They are more of a lame duck then the president...

With neo-cons controlling the 109th Congress, Operation Neglect was the guiding principle--no need to oversee the network of neo-con corruption in the executive branch when you are in collusion with it.

And with Treasonious Liberals incharge of the 110th congress nothing seems to be getting done. 14% approval rating speaks for its self...Instead of invesigating try doing your job. And zero thankfully it is a two party system...

As I have said in the past I actually like Bill Maher. I don't hold the same political views, but I respect him because he is clear on his views and everyone should know where he stands. However, concerning his speech two things struck me.

First, he seems to be implying that Boston, unlike places in the south, is a shining example of America and Liberalism, and therefore the people of Boston are more American then those in the south. If that is true then why is Boston, a city dominated by those registered as democrats also CURRENTLY considered one of the most racist cities in the United States? Don't take my word for it ask the NAACP, the ACLU, Bill Russell, Robert Parish, members (past and present) of the Boston Red Soxs etc.

Second, Bill also makes the assumption that our founders would not identify or talk with George W, Bush. Again, I don't think that is true, as our founders were inclusive of ALL ideas, faiths, positions and beliefs. However, since Bill has that opinion, and in all fairness, he should also acknowledge that our founders would view John Kerry as a loyalist to the crown. Using Maher's own analogy, the founders also would not identify with people like Howard Dean or Ted Kennedy, the first being crazy and the second a drunk womanizer who used his position as a "noble" to possibly get away with murder.

So, all in all, Bill's point is that he has no point, that he is only seeing things from his own narrow point of view.
