It is called making cuts, down sizing the military. The right wanted cuts, well here they are. We are leaving Iraq and Afghanistan, we don't need the army and marines.

The navy and air force are likely to follow this trend, if not this year, then next year.

Why? Because they are being cut, because we aren't at war now and ought not have a big military when not in a state of declared war and when we are put into a state of declared war... We ought to have a draft of every male and female 18-65 who isn't employed in edication, medical, policing agency, or fire departments.

Why? So that every voter has their turn to feel the pain of war and would desire peace.

Can't wear the body armor? Go without it, this is war and if we don't kill them first, they will kill us.

Oh; they arent that big of a threat? Then we ought not be at war.

ARMY, MARINE CORPS CANCEL THEIR TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS...ILLEGALS GET FINANCIAL AID

IT'S AN OBAMA WORLD......

Due to the sequester (proposed by the White House) the Obama administration will cancel tuition reimbursement for soldiers and Marines.

It’s Barack Obama’s special way of saying, “Thanks for serving.”

The U.S. Army and Marine Corps have pulled the plug on their tuition assistance programs one week after across-the-board federal spending cuts known as sequestration went into effect.

Soldiers and Marines will be able to finish up courses they’ve already started, but they won’t be able to enroll in new courses, the Defense Department announced.

“This suspension is necessary given the significant budget execution challenges caused by the combined effects of a possible year-long continuing resolution and sequestration,” Pentagon Army spokesman Paul Prince told Stars and Stripes. “The Army understands the impacts of this action and will re-evaluate should the budgetary situation improve.”

According to Stars and Stripes, the Army’s program allowed for soldiers to complete a high school diploma, certificate program or college or master’s degree with the service paying all tuition and fees up to $4,500 per fiscal year.

It’s too bad they’re not illegal aliens. More than 20,000 California illegal aliens are seeking state financial aid for the first time under the state’s new Dream Act. And, the Colorado House just passed legislation to lower tuition for illegal aliens.

Whenever a situation like this occurs in America, the devotees of austerity and fiscal conservatism should ask themselves, "What would Dubya do?"

Answer such as, 'invade Iran' would explain the fallacies of Republic-con Party fiscal conservatism and immigration poliy.

Double down for Dubya.
