I haven't read Atlas Shrugged, but in high school I read The Fountainhead, her earlier, shorter, sexier version. She was a good enough writer, but she overextended the implausibilities.
The right wing blogosphere really is a "sphere". The notions just bounce off the inside of the shell, and everyone inside keeps getting the echo and the ricochets. Maybe it's enough "stimulation" that to look beyond just seems like "too much information". The only thing that distinguishing one wingnut writer from the rest is to be even more outrageous, more paranoid, more delusional. Last year's panic is this year's same-old. Gotta find a new panic. |
