"So pay your employee more and pass it on to the consumer. Well that would make everything go up in price. So if you make more you would pay more for what you need to live. So you would still be in the same spot before yoy started making more."

To a point, yes. But I never said that the end cost must be a 1:1 ratio... Rather you the employer must take a pay cut, namely if rising the end price is going to put you out of a job.

Bottom line is, if you cannot pay a growing wage you the employer cannot afford to be in business and the government ought not fund your luxuries such as a permanent subsidized work force, or let alone suffer your poorly paid work force which isn't growing the economy.

Good:

Elevator construction requires more than a GED. Due to our pathetic excuse for a education system, (vrs our GDP and spending on Military might) We must not only look at the pay of educated jobs, but the pay of uneducated jobs.. We simply have too many people who don't have skills which put them into the unskilled labor force... Like construction. Namely roofers.

Skills = formal education which is accredited, something proven, not subjective like word of mouth.

Some people get brain decay by being on the Internets.

Just sayin'...

BTW, the average pay for a skilled construction worker here is about $50/hr, with [space] elevator constructors being the highest paid trade. Overtime pushes the average OT pay up to about $66/hour- vacation and pension are not paid at OT rates- in case you were wondering why it isn't $75/hr.

Just sayin' again...

So why do the right keep saying that no one is willing to work the trade jobs? Because they don't provide a quality of life which is deemed acceptable. A person laying a roof is exposed to the elements, they are subject to injuries and over time their bodies will begin to decay at an increased rate.

Have you ever seen the hands of a person working the trades? They are riddled with arthritis, not only in the hands but the entire body.

The pay that roofers make is around 34k Medium. h ttp://w ww.bls.g ov/ooh/Construction-and-Extraction/Roofers.htm

This isn't good pay, not when you are facing debilitating pain for the rest of your life. Not when most roofers are injured to such an extent that they are disabled for life and because they didn't have medical care, they are financially ruined.

As per the rules of the right's capitalist ideals.

If no one is willing to work the job, it is because the job isn't paying enough, so stop bitching and start paying better. If that means 100,000 USD a year and working only 8 hours a day... Then that is what you pay, and then you pass that onto the costumer. Simple capitalism, your greed blinds you to this.

We are a nation with a minimum, minimum wage, minimum standard of lifestyle, minimums because that is the bar by which an employer may be their utmost lazy.

It is a fact that in 1913, a company which was on the S&P 500 was expected to exist for 67 years, now they aren't expected to exist past 20 years. This says a lot about how the companies are run and how short sighted our economic models have become.

It isn't the peoples fault, it isn't John Q public's fault... It is the investors fault. It is the fault of the wealthy who possesses money and wealth and power. Our economic wows are the result of short sighted agendas and those weren't the doing of the Left, they were the doing of the Right. (some exceptions apply)
