"‘This country and world are pretty messed up largely because of our lifestyles and economic system, and it can’t go on forever. It’s time we accept that and make some serious changes…’"

History seems to say that "serious changes" don't happen unless there is some kind of major devastation or catastrophe.

Robert looks to ghost. "but sir, my iPhone has no decent spell check!" Robert says mournfully.

Outdoor:

What kind of changes to our life styles would the originator or you like to see?

The loss of individual transportation? The implamentation of high speed rail? How about we take back our factories and return developing nations to third world status? Dropping oil and other fossil fuels? Killing the MIC? (military industrial complex) and thus our economic keystone?

Sadly our life style is what keeps our nation from falling to developing nation status or worst, third world status.

"Stronger" was specifically meant as "relative to his first term".

Even Superman isn't stronger than himself.

Anyone who believes President Obama didn't take stronger stances during his first term must be afflicted with Rip Van Winkles Syndrome {RVWS}.

This looks like a nice quiet thread, so I'm placing this quote from someone I know:

"Well, I’m definitely relieved that Obama was re-elected, but I’d call that neutral. I must say I’m still pretty pessimistic. I’d much prefer a leader who said ‘This country and world are pretty messed up largely because of our lifestyles and economic system, and it can’t go on forever. It’s time we accept that and make some serious changes…’. That would make me much more comfortable and hopeful. I don't know maybe he'll take stronger stances this time?"
