Original Starting post for this thread:
I was seeking thoughts on the role media plays in politics and world affairs.

Do they accurately(fully disclosing) convey the news servicing the public interest?

If not, where do we turn to be accurately informed?

The reporters and MSM are liberals, their views are slanted...FOX has become the # 1 news network, WHY, they are fair and balanced...only reason there could be.

Thanks TBR for the specific sites, I'll check them out, as well as JUB's contribution.

Thanks Debjack and Destin on Fox. I do watch that occasionally to hear their views.

Any other sites?

For me, I pretty much stopped watching broadcast media about 25 years ago. I still watch the occasional show, but I have not watched anything regularly, in that time.

Except football.

My revelation is when I realized what pays the bills. The shows are really only filler for the commercials.

For left wing internet stuff, my two favorites are huffpost and talkingpointsmemo.

Counterpunch is an excellent site for short essays on current events.

Pollster and pollingreport are good for polling numbers.

Electoral-vote is the best site for the electoral vote race for the presidency.

I just tried to post a post on this subject but the SLS NAZIS told me the words were unacceptable about our media. Love free speech SLS.

It use to be that you had to use the 3 dots in connecting two run on sentences together. The only way around it was to put in an extra space at the end of dot. However, it's been complained about so much that many they've fixed it.
