LOL. Hey not a bad idea, a new President every 6 months, and there would be a warranty in case of assassination. Yet I am not sure if we could trust the Federal agencies for security. Head of Secret Service would have to be McAfee. I wonder if finally there would be laws against spam emails?

Of course I don't that is why it is a stupid statement in the first place.....That was my point,,,Yet when someone has nothing better to say, it is quoted, over and over and over again..... So don't use it in the first place,,,, We all think and feel, that is what seperates from the other mammals..... I guess you don't want to address the Artificial Intelligence President option, or that perhaps constantly seeing everything from an Us and Them point of view means you are not willing to THINK beyond labels......

BTW: I would fall into the fence sitters,,,, I guess I THINK for myself, and don't allow a party or a label to dictate how I am suppose to think.....and I am human so YES I feel....... Let's say for the sake of argument you were right that conservatives only think, and liberals only feel..... Then all the conservatives would agree that in a few years considering the advances in Artificial Intelligence, that a computer should be our leader.... It would only think,,,,It would not take into account the human component,,,,whatsoever, ever, under any circumstances..... It would compute what it would do based on what statistically worked in the past in the same situation.....It would not care if you fall into the top 10% or bottom 10%. It would not take into account how much money you contributed to a party, or who you know, or what it owes you.... It would not take into account, your gender, race, religion, or socioeconomic standing..... It would solely base all it's decisions on the facts.... If you are qualified for the position you are applying for..... Now as a fence sitter. I live in a Republic town, which is very conservative, and they are aware that I am not..... I am actually a registered Democrat, though I have voted Republic in the past and just recently in local elections.... Due to my problem with thinking for myself,,,, and found that the Republican candidate was better qualified and I agreed with his forum more so then with the Democratic forum in this specific election..... Yet all the Conservatives(Republicans) in my town want the same thing I do.... Good school system, safe streets, to be treated with respect and as an equal....To make a living and provide for our families..... But if I have to accept that all liberals can't think, and all conservatives can't feel... I guess all the liberals have a conservative sitting at their computer extracting the information just floating through the liberals' brain, and typing out their feelings into thoughts, since without out a doubt to put feelings down into a typed out forum post,,, you have to be able to use the part of your brain (frontal lobe) that thinks..... So now that we have all accepted that the liberals can't think.... Let's look at the part of the statement that says that conservatives can't feel... So are you saying that conservatives Don't love their children, Feel pride in their accomplishments, Anguish when innocent people get killed by a madman with a grudge, Anger when they read a post that doesn't agree with their opinion.... Joy when their team wins a game.... Guilt when they have wronged someone that didn't deserve it. Shame for not living up to their own expections.... How sad for you all.... So maybe the truest statement would be Liberals don't think LIKE US,,,, and Conservatives don't feel the way Liberals DO.... As long as we continue to think in the US/THEM mind set.... Nothing good can come of it... as long as you are not willing to look at every possible opportunity to fix a problem regardless of Party affiliation.....then you are NOT a free thinker and are only motivated by how you feel.... whether you are a Liberal or a Conservative.

Well where do I start there wnt, I am not a liberal nor conservative I am an American Who believes in my country and believes we are losing what this nation stands for, Freedom. Freedom not to bare arms, Not freedom of speech, Not any of those frivolous rights we all have debated over and over again. I believe in equality for all man kind not white or black brown or yellow, all man kind. Labels bestowed on us has done nothing but promote bigotry and racism. I believe in taking responsibility for my actions. I reap the rewards of a good decision and suffer the consequences for my bad decisions.I follow not the Constitution but the Declaration of Independence "We are endowed by our CREATOR with certain Unaliable rights" We are not given these rights by our government but by our creator. My pursuit to happiness is not to be infringed on by anyone. "We Hold these truths to be self evident that ALL men are created equal. Not black not white but all men and (women). Now you can claim they were hypocrites but I believe in it since a number of things have changed over these 240+ years that have corrected the Hypocrisies for the betterment of all man kind. I believe affirmative action is racism and promotes the same. I believe this nation has lost Americana and soon reversing our course will be impossible. label me I label you is nothing more than an Identity crisis in this country. I believe this country is run by cowards including this sitting president. Even the 4th of July is regulated. The talent of America is vast, The beauty of America still exists out there and Americans don't see it. We as a nation fought and strove because of her beauty and now it is going to waste. I don't ask this government for anything but to protect her beauty and to stand up for me and my countrymen when attacked. I believe in my nation as a whole not as an individual. Sure I have individual rights but they count for all of us not just me. It is not want the nation can do for me it is what I can do for my fellow Americans. I am a veteran but expect nothing but respect, and I give to my fellow American by volunteering to help veterans who need it. I go to the USO club at the airport to serve those who serve and maybe they also will see things the same as I do and maybe they don't it does not matter to me. A little long winded but there it is. I love my country and its people and will die to defend and them no matter what they do. I would stand in front of people I disagree with me and die for their right to disagree with me. And on here you know who you are. Yes I would Kill to protect you and I would die to keep you freedom alive. Thank you for reading. Todd

A Senate committee has taken a first step towards banning the country's 120,000-strong militia army from storing ammunition at home. It comes at a time of increased debate in Switzerland over the long-standing tradition of keeping army guns at home, and shock at the killing of more than 30 students in the United States' worst-ever shooting. It also follows a fatal shooting last week in the northern city of Baden when a 26-year-old Swiss emptied the magazine of his military rifle inside a hotel restaurant, killing one man and injuring four others. Speaking after Monday's 11-1 vote in favour of an ammunition ban, Hermann Bürgi, president of the Senate committee on security policy, denied that members had been influenced by recent events and media pressure. The proposal, which will now be examined by the seven-strong cabinet and parliament, would allow for around 2,000 specialist troops, such as those guarding airports and other important installations, to keep ammunition at home. The government would also be able to lift the ban in the event of a security crisis.

User Details are only visible to members.	as for the comparssion between a country such as switzerland (population less than New York city) and the US, i would note that in switz. there is no standing army, that all men between 20 and 42 are considered militarily active (obviously with some exceptions) and are allowed to keep their rifles, pistols, etc. at home. also, i noted that there were in fact severe restrictions on fully automatic weapons and that there is a heated debate there concerning gun rights in light of anticipated EU admisson.

User Details are only visible to members.	pa, i will tell mrs dzzy u like the pic :-) for me, it's not the point of who would "win" but rather the risk of damage and/or injury by the "game". perfect, i am assuming that your statement about emotion/opinion does not imply that you believe mine is as i truly have no emotion about this issue at all. it is certainly not one which instills passion in me per se and i would submit most non gun users and thus there is little chance of "real restrictions" being placed on gun owners at this time. in fact, it is really only when these incidents happen that the issue flares up for at time and then fades. as for automatic weapons and my opinions in that regard, in products liability law there is a concept known as the risk/utility analysis which is sort of self-explanatary (for this purpose) in determining whether a product is unreasonably dangerous. applying that some reasoning or logic here i have come to the unemotional conclusion that i believe there are some types of weapons that ordinary citizenry should not be allowed to possess. let's take the extremes. a slingshot and a nuclear bomb. i think everyone would agree that everybody should be allowed to have a slingshot and that no "one" citizen should be permitted to have a nuclear weapon. (at least hope the "gunners" agree on this although if i read some of your opinions such as the u can afford it u can own theory, i am unsure) accepting the above as true (slingshot/nuclear weapon) then there has to be a point where a type of weapon is simply too "dangerous" for an ordinary citizen to own. at this point, after applying my own personal risk/utility analysis to machine guns, etc. i simply say, again unemotionally, that they are too "dangerous".
