I am a badly disabled vet, I served 23 years and get a retirement that I fully earned. I did not get out on my disability, I retired. I could not get a job because no one would hire me so I found something I could do, learned to do it well and then built my own business. If I can do this then anyone can. They may choose to make a bunch of excuses and not get it done, but it can be done. If they choose not to do it then there is a price to pay but I do not want to pay that price for others. It is my experience that those less fortunate just didn't get off their ass and try hard enough. Running your mouth complaining is not in any way constructive or part of trying hard enough. No one is entitled to a damn thing that they do not earn or pay for. Period. I started out with almost nothing. 7.5 years of many, many surgeries just to be able to look and move like a normal person. We wanted success more than this months fast food or sat TV. We drove old cars so we had enough money to pay for her education. I learned medical transcribing because it was something I could do. I hated it but I took every hour I could get so we could move forward. We got were we are today because we set goals and then found ways to attain them. I do not feel sorry for those who refuse to put forth the effort and then blame others. Those people will never have anything or accomplish anything. They will find other of like kind and they will all sit around together and recite their blame stories and be absolutely miserable. I do help others but I am picky. I help those who are out doing and who will get ahead and not those who sit and bitch about things. I help people who will do what it takes to succeed. Spending one dime on those with the entitlement mentality is a total waste of money.

Most people however aren't either. So, for as long as the working stiff, the working man is paid so poorly when compared to the top of the economic ladder... Stop your bitching. Taking care of the lesser within your community and nation is your responsibility... more so if you are a successful businessman as your success is only a result of those under you and those paid poorly in other fields which make the resources you buy/sell so cheap. So man up, and start taking care of your countrymen or shut up and be one of the horde lead to a more civilized world.

User Details are only visible to members.	My home is protected by flood insurance as are my vehicles and my business interests. Yes I do pay for the flood insurance on my home and other properties. I even carry an inexpensive rider for flood damage for my vehicles, equipment, and all items in my home. shop, and vehicles. My responsibility so I take care of me and mine. I also carry life insurance and my final expenses are already paid for. Every one of these so called victims had these same options before this disaster happened. They either chose to exercise these options or not. Their decision so they will either be covered or not. It is not my responsibility to pay for their mistakes and bad judgement. I am damn tired of paying for other peoples horrible decisions. When my home area went through a 7 year drought and 7 in 10 ranches in this area went bankrupt and shut down there was not one red cent of help from anyone. That was a slow motion strangling natural disaster. No one from New York or any other state chipped in one penny to help anyone there. SO... all I can say is, "Screw them....." They get what they gave others in other natural disasters.

Chris Christie, blasted his party's "toxic internal politics" after House Republicans initially declined to approve disaster relief for victims of Superstorm Sandy. He said it was "disgusting to watch" their actions and he faulted the GOP's most powerful elected official, House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.

After all he coudn't walk around the devistation with Mitt Boy. Let's wait and see how much money they strip out of the bill that they send to the Senate. One of the Senators, a Republican from IN. wanted to drop the Senate bill to $24B. Guess the Republican speaker was looking to cozy up to his neighbor.

Last week's news, the first week of Y2013, presented Americans with the faces of three Republican Party Congressman whose districts received FEMA funds after cities and property were destroyed by natural disasters in their states. They voted against Y2013 FEMA funding for Superstorm Sandy. Governor Christie objected to their hypocrisy. The House of Boehner has the persona of a wicked bitch.
