It's also neat and ironic how the wingnuts here try to denounce liberals as Jew haters, but put Gee Dubya up on a platform even though his family has well documented historic ties to the same nazis that shuttled Jews off to Aushwitz en masse.

Kind of ironic that the Bush families assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act for financing the nazi regime and giving aid and succor to them, and yet today they are the ones so quick to spew the "for us or against us" claptrap. Hell, if it weren't for them millions they made dealing with the Nazis the Bush boys would probably never have reached the highest tiers of government, and the war in Iraq would have never happened. History sure is filled with irony.

You will find the US definition or left and right may not be what the others in the world consider left or right in their country. |

Vehement nationalism is a rightwing trait. The fact that the nazis were a small group of people controlled by banks and front corporations such as IG Farben, BMW, General Motors, Ford Motor, IBM et. al. and were all in collusion is also rightwing. The fact that Hitler had ties with the rightwing Fascists and broke with Russian communists declaring war on them is also very telling. All serious historians will tell you Scotty that the Nazis were indeed rightwingers.

If anything, the nazi's of ww2 are more closely aligned to the democrats than any republican ever has been. NAZI stood for "national socialist german workers party". see term socialist.. ie democrat. |
