Great question and one with no definitive answer, just speculation.
A part of me says: yes. Provided he could speak freely and, of course, he would. He can instigate a revolution or a progressive movement towards building a relationship with the U.S. and stop meddling in Iraq. (I honestly don't think so, but other methods has proved inadequate.) The other part says: No because he will be in danger and what's the probability of it proving anything? I don't think it emboldens the leadership in Iran as some may think. But it may soften the stance of other countries on their relationship with Iran. |
