Ya know when I heard that this film was coming out on DVD I was really excited. Mark Walberg is one of my favorite actors, since "The Departed". So when I started to watch the movie, I got a bad feeling when I saw Danny Glover's name in the credits. I already knew the plot, an ex-marine corps sniper is set up by dark government forces and has to prove his innocence. Seemed like it would be a great story, until I saw fucking Danny Glover's name in the opening credits. I just got a feeling in the pit of my stomach, I just knew that this was going to be an Anit-U.S and Anti-war movie. And what do ya know? But I'll ask ya'll what you saw in this movie, did you notice the same things that I did? I tell ya it almost got to the point where it turned into a comedy, considering the over the top characterizations. At the end I found it to be very sad and felt sorry for the poor bastards who considered this movie to be a realistic portrayal of how our government really works. Which I would bet anyone a dollar is how Danny " Socialist Cocksucking" Glover really believes. Any thoughts?

But given the history of Danny Glover, is it any surprise that he would choose a part and a movie which paints this country in the most negative light possible? It got to the point of being ridiculous after a while, but it still sad to see how some Americans really view their country. Yes it's only an action movie, but I would bet you that Glover and perhaps others involved in the film believed the plot of the movie could or did happen in real life. That's all I'm saying.

Suspended over a deep gully of disbelief, where logic takes on more bullets than the bad guys, Shooter still makes the grade as hard-ass action escapism. that's a part of a review on the movie with the emphasis on the world escapism. also this movie was based in part on a book.
