Teabastistan, USA--Exposed: Right-Wing Think Tanks and Bloggers Conducted Secret 10-Year Campaign to Fan Fear of Muslims Extremist foundations, think tanks, pundits, and bloggers carried out a 10-year-old campaign to promote fear of Islam and Muslims in the U.S.

A small group of inter-connected foundations, think tanks, pundits, and bloggers is behind the 10-year-old campaign to promote fear of Islam and Muslims in the U.S., according to a major investigative report released here Friday by the Center for American Progress (CAP).

The 130-page report, ‘Fear, Inc.: The Roots of the Islamophobia Network in America’, identifies seven foundations that have quietly provided a total of more than 42 million dollars to key individuals and organisations that have spearheaded the nation-wide effort between 2001 and 2009.

They include funders that have long been associated with the extreme right in the U.S., as well as several Jewish family foundations that have supported right-wing and settler groups in Israel.

The network also includes what the report calls "misinformation experts" - including Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy (CSP), Daniel Pipes of the Philadelphia-based Middle East Forum (MEF), Steven Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, David Yerushalmi of the Society of Americans for National Existence, and Robert Spencer of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) - who are often tapped by television news networks and right-wing radio talk shows to comment on Islam and the threat it allegedly poses to U.S. national security.

"Together, this core group of deeply intertwined individuals and organisations organisations manufacture and exaggerate threats of ‘creeping Sharia’, Islamic domination of the West, and purported obligatory calls to violence against all non-Muslims by the Quran," according to the report whose main author, Wajahat Ali, described the group as "the central nervous system of the Islamophobia network."

"This small band of radical ideologues has fought to define Sharia as a ‘totalitarian ideology’ and legal- political-military doctrine committed to destroying Western civilization," the report said. "But a scholar of Islam and Muslim tradition would not recognise their definition of Sharia, let alone a lay practicing Muslim."

Nonetheless, the group’s messages receive wide dissemination by what the report calls an "Islamophobia echo chamber" consisting of leaders of the Christian Right, such as Franklin Graham and Pat Robertson, and some Republican politicians, such as presidential candidates Representative Michele Bachmann and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich.

Great blogging booty, chupacabra. Great place to hide your male identity.

Comments with attachements of headless blogging booties and swirl faces are as meaningless as Condoleeza Rice's legacy for National Security.

During the War Crime administration with the titular head of government, Dubya the Dunce, the size of government increased with the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. Since National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice failed to warn of the hijacking of airplanes and their use as missiles to strike the Twin Towers and the Department of Defense, The Dunce Administration created an entirely separate, larger government agency to take Rice's job, and she was promoted to Secretary of State.

It is now 10 years since Sept. 11, 2011, and the biggest federal bureaucracy to emerge from the ashes of the terror attacks -- the Department of Homeland Security -- is facing budget cuts for the first time.

The nearly nine-year-old agency, one of the country's largest Cabinet departments, has grown year-after-year since its inception, but as lawmakers look to pare down the federal budget in the wake of massive deficits, DHS is no exception on the chopping block.

The Right Wing Fear machine created a meaningless device which provided large amount of government money to support its political agenda.

Tom Ridge. Homeland Security. The Bush/Cheney litany. No weapons of mass destruction, only weapons of mass deception.

Fear is one of the strongest motivators, and it works especially well against the insecure and/or uninformed. Both sides of the political spectrum use it.

The Homeland Security Right Wing Fear Status Indicator was introduced by Tom Ridge, first director, after the hijacking of the airplanes used to attack and destroy specific targets on Manhattan and in Washington, D.C.

Ridge left his position as director of Homeland Security because he wasn't making enough money to satisfy his need for a more lavish lifestyle. Homeland Security was never his intention.

Right-wingers have used the 'Fear Factor' to convince the American voting public that it's defense of the Homeland and its political party candidates are more virtuous, patriotic, and braver than those of the other political parties.

The Right Wing Homeland Security Fear Status Indicator is a bogus concept, meant only to put fear in the heart of every American citizen, with the hope that the cowardly Republic-cons will save them from terror.

President Obama ordered the death by military execution of America's Most Wanted Criminal and International Terrorist. Each succeeding leader of Al-Qaedi has been assassinated during the Obama/Biden administration.

Right Wing Fear is a sociopathological weapon in the arsenal of Weapons of Mass Deception used by Republic-cons to convince America only they know how to keep America safe.

Eat that with breakfast, champion Fracker. Light a firecracker and serve it with your Tea Party twinkies as a sign of bravery in your kitchen.
