Obamacare refers to what is more formally known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or the "ACA," which was passed by Congress in March 2010. The Supreme Court recently affirmed the constitutionality of the ACA by a vote of 5-4. The term "Romneycare" generally refers to the health reform plan in Massachusetts, passed in 2006, while Mitt Romney was governor. Before delving into a comparison of Obamacare and Romneycare, one important distinction must be made: the ACA is a federal statute affecting every citizen of the United States while Romney's 2006 Massachusetts legislation only affects citizens of that state. Below is a brief summary of how the Obamacare and Romney's 2006 Massachusetts plan compare: Both Plans Include Individual Mandates An individual mandate is a requirement that certain individuals purchase a good or service. In this case, the "good or service" is health insurance. While some parts of Obamacare have already gone into effect, the majority of the statute, including the individual mandate, do not take effect until January 1, 2014. Romney also declared that will create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and that he has superior business experience than Obama. How Each Plan Affects Businesses Romney's plan for Massachusetts requires that any business with 11 or more full-time employees offer health insurance to their workers or pay a penalty. A major difference between the two plans is that Obamacare includes a tax credit for small businesses that choose to offer coverage to their workers and Romneycare does not. The credits work on a sliding scale as long as the business has a maximum of 25 employees and pays average annual wages below $50,000. Currently, small businesses are eligible for a 35 percent tax credit, but in 2014, the credit increases to 50 percent. The maximum credit of 50 percent will only be granted to businesses with less than 10 employees whose average annual wages are less than $25,000.

During the first pretentious presidential political debate, Wicked Willard demonstrated the use of a doubly deceitful tactic: Gishmaneering, the Mormon version of the Gish Gallop. Named for the debate tactic created by creationist shill Duane Gish, a Gish Gallop involves spewing so much bullshit in such a short span on that your opponent can’t address let alone counter all of it. To make matters worse a Gish Gallop will often have one or more 'talking points' that has a tiny core of truth to it, making the person rebutting it spend even more time debunking it in order to explain that, yes, it's not totally false but the Galloper is distorting/misusing/misstating the actual situation. A true Gish Gallop generally has two traits. 1) The factual and logical content of the Gish Gallop is pure bullshit and anybody knowledgeable and informed on the subject would recognize it as such almost instantly. That is, the Gish Gallop is designed to appeal to and deceive precisely those sorts of people who are most in need of honest factual education. 2) The points are all ones that the Galloper either knows, or damn well should know, are totally bullshit. With the slimier users of the Gish Gallop, like Gish himself, its a near certainty that the points are chosen not just because the Galloper knows that they're bullshit, but because the Galloper is deliberately trying to shovel as much bullshit into as small a space as possible in order to overwhelm his opponent with sheer volume and bamboozle any audience members with a facade of scholarly acumen and factual knowledge. Idiots out walking around having fun together will neither understand nor comprehend the nature of the plutocratic beast who uses the Gish Gallop 'parley' to misdirect his listeners and viewers.
