Why would anyong give a second chance to an intruder/nterloper who advocates death of children at an early age as evidence of superior morality associated with possessing a weapon of mass execution?

Mental issues associated with the possession of automatic fire arms are the main reason for legislation created to require background checks for pop tart eaters who chose to carry a loaded weapon into a public place.

A Summary Of Facts [by Red State Dems]

On December 7th, 1993, Colin Ferguson boarded a Long Island Railroad commuter train with a Ruger 9mm pistol and nearly 160 rounds of ammunition. Moments later, he drew the gun and began firing in a packed crowd of rush hour passengers. He injured nineteen and murdered six. Ferguson was disarmed by bystanders who wrestled him to the floor as he tried to change the clip in his handgun.

Jared Loughner shot and killed six people on January 8th, 2011, injuring thirteen more, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, at a Safeway store in Tucson, Arizona. Loughner was subdued while attempting to reload.

On July 20th, 2012, James Holmes killed 12 people and injured 58 others in a shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theatre. He was armed with an AR-15 .223-caliber assault rifle, a Remington 12-gauge shotgun and a 40-caliber Glock handgun.

On December 14th, 2012, Adam Lanza murdered twenty-six at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, including twenty young children. Lanza used his mother’s Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle and reportedly fired 154 rounds. Lanza killed himself with a single round from the handgun after being spotted by police.

These four incidents have several things in common, one of which is the availability of the weapons — all of them were obtained legally. In the aftermath of the Newtown tragedy, firearms enthusiasts and gun lobbyists alike have been repeating worn talking points. “More gun laws aren’t the answer,” they say. The NRA’s Wayne LaPierre has been parroting one of the gun lobby’s favorites — that new gun laws will only thicken the law books and will impact only the law-abiding and not the criminals.

Even if that were true (and it isn’t), there’s an obvious fact that the pro-gun lobby routinely overlooks. Prior to the shootings that made them infamous, none of the perpetrators named here were criminals. James Holmes and Adam Lanza had clean criminal records. Jared Loughner had minor run-ins with campus police, but no arrests. Colin Ferguson had a misdemeanor arrest for harassment, a result of screaming at a woman on a subway. Even Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech shooter who shot and killed 32 people, had no criminal record.

If we had laws to keep the guns out of the hands of these five shooters, eighty-two people would still be alive. All five had well-known mental issues. All five used guns legally obtained, by people who were not criminals. In Lanza’s case, Nancy Lanza bought the weapons and kept them in a manner which allowed her mentally ill son to access them — a lapse in judgement for which she paid the price with her life, not to mention twenty children and six faculty members at Sandy Hook. If we had strong penalties for straw purchasers and private transfers which result in the death of another, Nancy Lanza might have thought twice about providing assault weapons to her mentally ill child. In the rest of the cases, the guns were purchased legally by the shooters themselves.

So Wayne LaPierre can continue to fearmonger and racebait about drug dealers and street gangs, but the truth is we need laws to regulate the sale and transfer of firearms. We need limitations on the capacity of magazines to give bystanders a chance to intervene like they did in the Loughner and Ferguson shootings. And we need reform to privacy laws to exclude the mentally ill from purchasing firearms. There needs to be a database of the mentally ill that can be cross-referenced with universal background checks, because the most horrific mass shootings in recent history were committed not by drug dealers or street gangs, but by citizens who were law-abiding — right up until the moment they got their hands on a gun.

If you have any doubts as to how low the GOP has sunk, Senate Republicans – led by their fearless leader, Mr. Turtle face, Mitch McConnell – are now threatening to filibuster gun legislation that would impose background checks on – are you ready for this? – rapists. Yes, you heard right, rapists.

Shocked? You shouldn’t be. Not even an issue that enjoys a 92 percent approval rating is enough to shame a party that is so far to the right, you have to look to the left just to find the right margin. Barney Frank was right when he said that the Senate couldn’t come up with the 60 votes needed to evacuate in the event of a fire.

The Lesson to be learned in this death is:

Be True To Your Pre-school Code. Shoot to kill. Only you can prevent ineffective law enforcement in your kindergarten before you enroll.

{Truth hurts. Children tell the truth. No one tells the truth that hurts adults more than children armed with guns}.

The Dark Ages Of Republican Party Insanity Creatd A Hero

A cookout in Tennessee ended in tragedy over the weekend when a 3-year-old child accidentally shot and killed the wife of a Wilson County sheriff’s deputy.

Children who have never been to school already know the value of weapons in relation to their personal survival and the inability of local police to prevent mass murder in public schools.

One childe offered a solution to the inability of <law enforcement> to protect her and her neighborhood pre-schoolers almost ready for kindergarten. Self-determination and self-protection. End law enforcement now. It is ineffecitve and cannot prevent the assassination of innocent school children.

I'm going to venture a guess that a British/English flapjack is not the same as an American/Canadian flapjack.

BTW, to my friends across the pond- it's pussy not fanny, you fall on your ass not on your bum, it's a god damn french fry not a chip- a crisp is a chip, and a cookie is not a biscuit, and...

Do they even teach English in England?

:-)

(That does mean *smiley face* in England doesn't it?)
