Don't get your panties in a twist people...It wasn't meant as snarky...more tongue in cheek. ;) And hundreds meaning "The amount of people currently employed by Taco Bell in a full time capacity ratio'd to the amount of people who dine at Taco Bell" The chain that owns Taco Bell (Pepsico) has been eliminating full time employment in it's restaurant branch for years, and not due to rising costs of employee benefits, but due to the rising cost of corn and the increasing use of automation processes. To remain competitive in the market place you must offer goods or services at a price point that many people are willing to pay. If the cost of a taco rises to $3, not many will continue going. Since you can't DECREASE the supply cost associated with producing your product, the next logical thing to do is DECREASE your labor costs. It's simple capitalism.

The money they need to spend on Washington lobbyists and election campaigns doesn't grow on trees you know. I'm pretty sure the 100's of people affected by this FAR outweigh the millions who would refuse to pay $3 for a crappy taco to support it.

What will happen as a result of this is that new laws will be made protecting workers working for more than one employer... Forcing employers to work with the worker's schedules and the economy will suffer, because the health care laws are here to stay.
