I don't know what schools have neurologists and janitors taking the same tests, but if it makes a valid judgment about the school, and a tentative appraisal of the teacher, it should be a good thing, yes?
A local school system may decide they will be teaching "intelligent creation" or some such weird shit. Would that be preferable to what the nation's foremost educators believe is important and valid? |

"Higher than average FCAT scores do not mean a student will score higher than average on their SAT's, which should be the case each and every time if it's to be believed that these tests do what they say they do. "
Well then shame on the lot of you. You all should be embarrassed. |

As a parent with 2 kids who currently take the FCAT and an ex-wife who is a teacher at their school, I can assure you that those scores are nothing more than a Pass/Fail to the kids, and are of much greater importance to the teachers and their school.
