Original Starting post for this thread:
During the Vietnam era conflict, those with religious objectives were given deferments from military service as 'conscientious objectors."

Willard Mitt Romeny received a deferment for promoting the false religion of Mormonism in France while American solders died defending for American government values in Vietnam.]

According to Ann Romney, "Mormon missions and the U.S. military are just different ways of serving."

A truth tally reveals something quite deferment than the claims of a Mormon glamour Stepford Wife:

Vietnam-era sSoldiers killed--58, 282. Wounded--303,644.

Mormon missionaries with deferments serving in France {her husband Mitt} --Killed=0. Wounded=0. It was a safe, riskless missionary journey for the missionaries of the false god of Kolob.

Conclusion: The false god of Kolob hates American patriotism, and so do Ann and Mitt Romney, and their sons.

While at war, absolutely we should have a draft. No deferments. Service doesn't mean you have to pull the trigger... It just means you'll be pegged for point man every time while the shooters will provide the best cover they can.

Sadly with current requirments... Far too many would medical out on phycological grounds. Then physical grounds... You would be surprised at the numbers who wash out of air force boot due to mental or physically being broken.

Worst yet, you don't have medical coverage for that damage.

Case in point, should you become injured by pneuomonia which is rampant in basic training, and should you wash out of boot... You are not covered for any long term damage that may have been caused.

So a peace time draft isn't desirable... Not unless we were going to play starship trooper... But that type of world isn't desirable either as it does disenfranchise a group of people who otherwise may want to serve but cannot physically do so.

"Should ANY one be aloud to be President with out serving in the Military be it war or peace time service?"

Since no one really knows at 20 if they will eventually become POTUS, for that to happen you would have to reinstate the Draft and with no deferments other then medical. Personally I don't think it is a bad idea.

Your chances of being shot in a city where guns are outlawed aren't even half as high as the risk the president is in daily... Not unless you are hanging with gang members and or the wrong part of town. In which case you need to learn to keep your mouth shut in the wrong part of town and leave it quickly.

Do that and 9/10 of all gang members leave you alone... Only the members needed to bloody their hands are your threat... These people would likely shoot you in the back anyway and the other gang members would take your gun which would make you a bigger target.

Hint hint. The hood is meant to hid your ear phones, sloppy clothing to hid you belongings. A belt is useful for three things. Storing a small knife, to be used to stop blood flow to yours arm/leg or to keep your pants on while you high tail it out if the bad situation your in.

"The President of the United States is in Harms way everyday and he volunteered for the job. "

Then in that light so has Romney, he was in charge of the national guard as a governor. Governors have less security than presidents they are in much more harms way than the president. As far as that is concerned Americans are more in harms way than the president. In cities where guns are outlawed young men are more likely to be killed by violence than they would in the theater of war.

Military service is not a requirement for president, the requirements are really very low. Obama had less military command experience when he swore in than Romney has. Obama could have volunteered to serve as during the first gulf war, he made a choice not to. Clinton made a choice to seek deferments to serve, he made a choice not to serve. Romney did serve as a missionary, but chose to not serve in the military. They all had an opportunity to fight, and chose not to.

For the most part sure. The presidency isn't a military position. However I do believe that there is a level of experience that a life long civilian president will be lacking when compared to a president who was a service member.

I did vote for Obama over McCain.... But McCain simply acted crazy with his statements of bombing Iran and choosing Palin as his running mate. She was not vp material... I would have sooner voted Romney if it were a choice of McCain/Palin vs Romney/Ryan.

Romney is a businessman and wouldn't likely start another war with another nation who is backed by the Russians. Which by the way is the biggest reason why the Russians are gearing up against us again.

We keep throwing stones at them despit the fact they haven't been a threat to us in over twenty years. We created the alternative to serving the US by thinking we have a right to push our weigh around... Thank you for starting the new cold war... Like my generation didn't have enough to worry about.

So save me the line of bullshit that Obama isn't qualified. Bush only stood up to the Pakistanis at the end if his presidency... Obama has told the Pakistanis that well kill whom ever we like in your nuclear armed nation.

The likelihood of the Iranian issue is that Obama is waiting Iran out. If Iran shoots or gives a dirty bomb to a terrorist, Obama could blast Iran with every bomb we have and the world would back our call.

At the end if the day, each service member, each employee who works for the department of state are little more than game pieces on a game board. It might sound heartless to say like this, but this is the most honest way of saying it. That is the sacrofice they made when they chose to serve something greater than themselves. That is why they get silver stars and flag strapped coffins and a place in arlington cemetery.

LOL... Please, my father was given direct orders from officers cowarding in a fob in Iraq to not move his humvee or to return fire at the enemy shooting our people.

Our generals in Iraq have sent US service members to prison for defending themselves when doing checkpoints and some bum fuck Iraqi tries to run the checkpoint. It is how my father lost two of his best friends... And why my father started to volunteer for the job... Because the army started to put E1 and E2's out there outside the range of help. These low ranking soldiers trained to not shoot, made too afraid of prison to shoot a vehicle which would try to speed past the checkpoint.

Hell my father and five others were swarmed by Iraqis and ordered not to shoot. The army had to bring artillery fire down near the civilians to scare them away. (intentionally missing the civilians) the cowardly Iraqis left their wives and children behind for over 16 hours.

So, by your theory...

How much blood is on the Repub's hands for allowing 9-11 and the subsequent manhunt SLASH weapons of mass destruction envaision?

There are all kinds of records showing the intel of it was going to happen. But, m sure you won't believe that. Nor that ALL embassies are dangerous and lacked the funding due to repub cuts.
