Nothing in the Constitution of the United States of America guarantees the survival of billionaires and multi-millionaires during a time of economic crisis which affects the citizens of the exemplary free-world government.

The Life of Brian and The Life of Spartacus are two experiences of human existence destined to intersect for a single moment in the history of the human race.

You want to demonize those better off than youself. But instead of striving to be indepndant you want everyone else to do the work for you and share. IMHO that is Greed. Robin Hood was an asshole.

There would be no need for the free gifts if you rich or better off did your fair share of the work and provided for the masses. This is why three were benefits in the first place... they were the gifts the employer paid to provide for the people and this kept the government out of the businessman business.

Because you wanted to see these necessary gifts as something to cut, you cut them rather than lowering your standard of living so to prevent the people from turning to the government. Your duty failed, the people did just this.

If you provided medical care which covered the workers and their families... You wouldn't have Obamacare.

If you provided a wage that allowed the employee to feed his family, you wouldn't have Wick or other food welfare.

If you provided a retirement program which you educated the worker on (If need be sent them to school to learn how to use), you wouldn't have Social security.

If you paid a wage that allowed people to be taxed, the taxes upon you would be lower. (yes, your personal wealth would be lower too, but that is the cost to keep the government out of your business.... It is the cost of doing business.)

So stop crying that it is the peoples fault, you businessmen/women are just as much the publics leaders as the politicians... If you fail to provide, the people will go to the politicians. This is simply commonsense... Commonsense that you forgot in your pursuit of greed.

I'd say we're in selfishness heading quickly towards apathy.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."

"The historical cycle seems to be: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to apathy; from apathy to dependency; and from dependency back to bondage once more."
