I don't claim to be an expert, or even close to one, on this subject. I do know that Israel is capable of doing it. This is different than it has been in the past. I don't think that anything is off the table. They may not be politically able to take out Imanutjob, or some of the religious leaders but there are key, high ranking people (and family members) that once removed would send the appropriate message.

I'm not talking about the scientists.

Israel isn't stupid enough to fight a war with Iran.......They'd just take out most of the head honchos. Iran knows this.

Would "intervene" include sharing intelligence, and assisting with arms to the Saudis?

I don't see how we can't get involved. And I think we are headed for WWIII as it is. Poking at Pakistan is absolutely stupid. China has already warned us several times they consider acts against Pakistan as acts of war against them.

Here is where I am on that, if Iran were to make a unsuccessful attack on Saudi. We would have to kick Iran's ass. And if Iran has no substantial allies Iran is fucked. It actually might be a good thing for Israel giving her breathing room.

M I thought we had missile defense batteries in Saudi?

A country can not invade and hold territory with nuclear weapons alone.

I still think Iran is a ways off to having one. Longer than Israel thinks and less than the pacifists think.
