"You all are the reason this country is in the toilet, and you're all too fucking stupid to realize it."

"You're condescending bullshit"

Yes folks, those two things really were said by the same person, within about an hour of each other.   #IronyAlert

Yay Ya Ya

If not God then whom?

This Disaster in NJ NY and the rest is proof it is what we have. Haiti Earth Quake, Sunami, Christmas Day Quake and Sunami. We were there for them we spent Trillions in Private funds from our hands and labor and aid from our government. 9-11, Katrina, and others and Now Sandy. Where are they? who are they? Soon very soon it will be gone. The will to help other nations will be gone. But what is worse is the willingness to care and the empty hearts that were once full with the joy of giving and of helping our nieghbors in times of trouble. We ask it every time one of these disasters hits us. Where are they? We seem to be forever on our own, so who can we call on to keep striving to do what we do and stay free? It is the wish of man to be free it is the will of God that makes it possible.

Fun:

"People who are as full of certitude in their own inerrancy as they are lacking in tolerance for dissenting views, probably will never be happy with democracy."

We don't have a problem with you worshiping to what ever god(s) you wish. What we have a problem with is god or gods being part of the US government. The nation shouldn't have anything to do with anyones religion, no bibles used for oaths, no mention in religion or god(s) or any other reference.

When you are outside your home or place of worship... you leave your religion behind because outside of these places (home/place of worship) are too many people for one nation to represent everyones religion.

Why do so many people get so upset over a word(God)? If there is no God then it is just a word.

Tomorrow, on the ballots of voters across American, there's the name of a guy who wears Mormon underarmor to protect him from evil, based on a religion that believes god lives on planet Kolob. He avoided serving in defense of the USA by claiming to be a missionary and living in France.

The Pledge is to patriots of this country, not the god who supplies underarmor to the go of the fake patriot running as the Republic-con Party candidate for executive office.

Anyone who prays to the god of Kolob should be considered an alien, dangerious to national security.

Total douchebag. 'Under God' was added via the democratic process. If you all don't like it, or can't see it's value, or somehow think it's harming you, then go about changing it using the same process that added it. You're condescending bullshit just doesn't fly.

"Eisenhower stated "From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural school house, the dedication of our nation and our people to the Almighty. ... In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America's heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country's most powerful resource, in peace or in war."
