I see it this way. to call myself a christian and to confess him as lord not only of myself but the nation, and to pledge myself to hornor and follow his ways and then live my life the way I have choosen makes me the same as a person who cheats on their spouse. To pledge allegiance to the idea that we are a nation uder God would make me a lier and a man of no character. I would hope that most of yall are men of character, who say what they mean and mean what they say. Maybe some of you can make an oath and not care if you mean what you say, I just can't do it.

I see a question posed in the OP and adults offering a wide variety of different views about it. That kind of discussion is the hallmark of a free democracy and should be valued. I stand by my statement.

User Details are only visible to members.	Yay Ya Ya If not God then whom? This Disaster in NJ NY and the rest is proof it is what we have. Haiti Earth Quake, Sunami, Christmas Day Quake and Sunami. We were there for them we spent Trillions in Private funds from our hands and labor and aid from our government. 9-11, Katrina, and others and Now Sandy. Where are they? who are they? Soon very soon it will be gone. The will to help other nations will be gone. But what is worse is the willingness to care and the empty hearts that were once full with the joy of giving and of helping our nieghbors in times of trouble. We ask it every time one of these disasters hits us. Where are they? We seem to be forever on our own, so who can we call on to keep striving to do what we do and stay free? It is the wish of man to be free it is the will of God that makes it possible. The Key to peace is sitting on your shoulders
