One thing about rights - you don't actually have to be arrested to have them taken away. For example, many states (Texas included) still have laws barring the sale of sex toys. That most municipalities haven't tried to prosecute stores based on this doesn't mean that we have a right - it just means that the state has reserved discretionary power over when the right can be allowed.
The legislation of the 108th and 109th Congress, and Bush's signing statements, have stripped away numerous "rights". Alberto Gonzalez was in front of Congress a couple weeks ago saying that the Administration does not recognize any right of Habeus Corpus. |

You don't ;-) . . . the Army of Manchuko (the puppet state that Japan set up in Manchuria) was about 200,000, was largely made up of mercenaries, and pretty much surrendered as soon as the Soviets mounted any kind of offensive. There was no need for Stalin to deploy significant forces that way. |

They have to catch me first. Do you think they're going to waste the effort on me? There are MILLIONS of illegals in this country that don't pay one thin dime, and thousands more pouring over the borders every week. Do you think your government has the resources to hunt down everyone that refuses to pay it tribute? The IRS is a juggernaut, but so was Goliath. |
