I DO however think that Romney WILL take us into austerity and THAT will cause a deeper and longer recession, perhaps a depression. I've taken to answering the question: Are you Dem or Rep" with "I'm a Keynesian." It' is the ONLY economic model proven to work over and over again, compared to the Chicago School (Uncle Milty) and 'trickle down' which has been proven an abject failure more than once. We will NOT recover under austerity. Period. And everyone running this popcorn stand of a Government knows it too.....

I've read more than a dozen biographies and auto biographies of the man and over and over the same EXACT core beliefs come through; Put the actual needs of the country first Grow the economy from the middle out Be a strong example of an involved, caring father, husband and president Stop the financial meltdown and get the economy moving in the right direction Just to hit the high points. He has done all of these and more. He has also kept as many or more 'promises' than every other President, so that fallback position is weak as well. He has consistently said he will raise the taxes on the top earners and reduce the burden on the middle class. He has done (or attempted to and blocked by congress) every one of these things too. He has also been far clearer on where the money will come from to keep these promises. "his faith (off-limits)" Of limits? He is a Christian, what didn't you understand about that? He has talked openly and at quite a bit of length about his faith and how he came to it and what he believes. Again, did you miss that somehow? "and his donors (anonymous)" Far far from it. His donors are millions of middle class and lower income people that are engaging more and more in politics. Some for the very first time. His large donors are listed every quarter on his website if you care to go look. "he IS our president." Yes, he is. It would serve you well to actually learn what he HAS done before you throw him under the bus. Throw him under the bus for the fucked up things he HAS done, but get your facts straight first. Not that I'm holding my breath on that... I'm the first to disagree with many of the things Obama has done, the NDA for one, but to simply swallow the Fox line and regurgitate it back is disingenuous and lazy. It certainly does not do your country any good.

Did you know that before Obama got in, the Smithsonian couldn’t mention global warming as a possible reason the glaciers were shrinking? Because heat melting ice was just a theory. And before you say, “Well that was then, and this is now,” sitting in Congress right now, we’ve got a fresh can of nuts just waiting to get cracked open. A few weeks ago, we heard from a Republican Congressman named Paul Broun telling his supporters that evolution, embryology, and the Big Bang Theory are all “lies straight from the pit of Hell.” And he’s on the Science Committee! Along with Todd Akin. Romney might want a government full of sober gentlemen who discuss policy in quiet rooms, but he’s also going to get a bunch of snake handlers who spout nonsense in antler-filled rooms. People like Congressman Ralph Hall, who is Chairman of the Science Committee, and says we don’t need to address global warming because: “I don’t think we can control what God controls.” By that logic, why ever put out a fire? Or open an umbrella? Or wipe your ass? This is what you get with today’s Republican Party. And a new Republican administration would be an “Open for Business” sign to all the bizarre Bible-thumping bullshit that the Obama administration has given us a break from. And to those who say, “Oh don’t worry, Mitt Romney will stand up to the extreme elements of his party,” there’s just one problem with that. It has the name “Mitt Romney” and the words “stand up” in the same sentence.
