ok the business that I'm in"

why does a person become an actuary?

Because they didn't have enough personality to be an accountant.

Being in the business, one of mine, too.

Statistician joke:

Three stats guys go out hunting. They see a duck.

The first one shoots and misses three feet to the left.

The next one shoots and misses three feet to the right.

The third one exclaims, "Got it!"

"Or as Mark Twain put it, "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics."" ----------------------------------------------------- One of my favorite quotes!

Interesting perspective on that one. Their major criteria seems to be importing oil from the Middle East and selling oil products to the Pentagon.

The Sierra Club is focused on environmental issues.

Just goes to show that you can "prove" just about anything depending on which variables you use.

Or as Mark Twain put it, "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics."

That reflects their report dated January/February 2007. However, the Sierra Club is one of the sponsors for a report published in June 2007, titled Consumer's Guide to Gasoline, authored by Ann Wright under the website ConsumerforPeace dot org and it ranks Citgo at the top of the list for Less Harmful/Relatively Speaking (this reports best category).

Actually, if you go to the Sierra Club website, Citgo is ranked as "middle of the barrel", not the best, but not the worst. Below are their rankings.

Bottom of the Barrel

* ExxonMobil * ConocoPhillips

Middle of the Barrel

* Royal Dutch Shell * Chevron * Valero Energy Corporation * Citgo

Top of the Barrel

* BP * Sunoco

I don't buy from Citgo, but the Liberal Organization Sierra Club recommends them as the Number 1 Gas Station that Americans should support and does nothing but praise Chavez.
