They are to scared to talk about guns and sure don't want it pointed out how they use them in movies and tv shows. According to tv every shooting is with a fully automatic rifle, and people are literally thrown feet into the air by a gunshot. Such bullshit they ploy. They also avoid giving honest accounts of news, such as the Mall shooter being confronted by a LAC and then shooting himself.

User Details are only visible to members.	one the biggest proble we have is the mentality that all confrontations need to be solved with a gun. I remember when I was younger those same confrontations being solved with a good ass whipping. As for gangbanger and drug dealers, when was the last time you heard of a liquor store owner killing someone because they open an other liquor store on their corner.

Fj I not talking about outlawing anything, I am one of those people who leaves the TV on all day long for background noise and you will see countless public announcement ads about drunk driving, hell there are even a ton of ads about safe sex and the dangers of smoking,you even see ads about safe boating,but not one about responable gun use. walk out of a bar and get in you car and 9 times out of 10 there's a cop car parked across the street waiting on you.

User Details are only visible to members.	On drunks we also stop them by well~~stopping them while in the act. Cell phones are responsible for catching some drunk drivers, but some politicians want to outlaw cell phone use in a car. There are some accidents caused by cell phone use, but is is worth loss of liberty and the resulting increase in drunk drivers. Over all cell phones have made driving safer.

User Details are only visible to members.	Sweet they do, BUT how do you do that until the irresponsible person commits a crime, or manages to get into the systems radar. Same goes for drunk drivers, you can't take away or jail a drunk just because he is a drunk until he breaks the law. People die from all kinds of things that could be prevented if we take away liberties. If people are not allowed to swim or boat we could drastically reduce the number of drownings. If all food is sold pre chewed we could eliminate choking. No more soft drinks would lower the risk for ulcers for others. Where would you draw the line? Bloomberg wants to outlaw everything.

But we don't do a very good job of promoting the dangers of guns in the hands of irresponisdle people or people with mental illness or even what it is to be a responable gun owner the way we do with drunk driving. It would seem to me that a responable law abiding gun owners would want to do everything possable to keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them, if for no other reasons then pride and to protect their right to own one.

User Details are only visible to members.	Sweet we can and we do. People who unlawfully use guns are or should be punished, just the same as drunk drivers. We do not punish people who do not drink and drive why in the hell should we punish responsible gun owners? Guns and drugs are the only crimes where the non law breaker gets punished. All other violent crimes the person who does the crime gets punished. And all the gun laws we have on the books we still have gun crimes. If guns did not exist we would still have violence. Guns protect the weak, they would have if only a few teachers had been armed. Guns had nothing to do with the Bath School killings and full auto weapons were legal for everybody to own at the time. Gun control laws have nothing to do with guns, they have to do with control. Some politicians use your emotions to further control of the public.

Frist off I am in no way anti-gun, But you can not compare DUI with irresponsivle or violent gun use. Why, because the country as a whole is doing something about Drunk driving through puplic awareness and enforcement of the laws that are on the books. Could more be done, of course. My question is, why can't we do the same thing when it comes to guns.

Another important element of safeguarding children inside the fenced building and on playgrounds, search towers with search lights should be stationed above the machine-gun platforms so that volunteer citizen guardians can watch those possible intruders along the fence line in bad weather and at dusk, and also in the evening when school activities are scheduled. With fences, machine-gun platforms, and search lights, the school buildings and play areas could be made safe from the domestic terror plans of anti-American, anti-child, anti-teacher, anti-public school, anti-government anarchists with various motives and associations, like those of Wayne's NRA World.

User Details are only visible to members.	The only way to protect our children at this point in time is to have armed and trained personnel in our schools at all times. Period There is now way that they are going to get the guns out of the hands of bad guys, PERIOD!!!!! The gun folks told everyone that these gun laws would never stop the bad guy and crazy morons from killing people and they didn't. This last slaughter happened in a state that has some of the toughest anti gun laws in this nation and all those laws stopped nothing, and yes, WE TOLD YOU SO A LONG TIME AGO.!!!!!!!!!! some folks on this board want to discount the numbers of children killed each year by drunk drivers. How does that work??? Are they somehow less dead??? I am a retired AB Ranger with 23 years service, a gunsmith, a competitive shooter with handguns and rifles, a father, married to a teacher, and carry on a CCW 24/7/365. I am also a small arms instructor. What do you want to discuss??? How about the fact that there were no, as in never one, school shooting before they made schools a gun free zone. How about the fact that the areas with the toughest anti gun laws in this country have the highest rate of gun violence. I will be glad to have a rational discussion using provable facts about this issue with anyone. BUT you can take your irrational nonfactual BS "the sky is falling" crap and put it where the sun don't shine.
