Child luring suspect found beaten Thursday, September 06, 2007 By Jim McKinnon, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Vigilantes attacked a Beaver County man Tuesday because he allegedly tried to lure two children into his Economy Village home, Ambridge police said.

Police who found the bleeding man, Kenneth Newingham, outside his home later charged him with attempted luring.

The suspect told police he did not know his attackers and no charges have been filed in connection with the beating.

Investigators said Mr. Newingham, 43, had been inviting children to his home since last month. Only once did any of them accept, police said.

On Tuesday evening he tried to lure a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl who did not go inside, police said.

Officers had been patrolling the neighborhood around 8:30 p.m. when they found the suspect outside bleeding from injuries suffered in the beating.

Mr. Newingham was arraigned and placed in the Beaver County Jail. He is being held on $10,000 bail.

Police seized the suspect's computers, which will be searched for evidence of child pornography, investigators said.

Jack,

I hope you know that I'm on the side of the ass-kick(ers) not the ass-kick(e).

If it was my kid he tried to lure into his home, he'd have gotten more than an ass kicking. He might have accidently died of lead poision.
